United Cardholders: Fly To Select European Cities For 50K Miles Round-Trip

Fly between the US and Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, or Paris for 50K miles round-trip instead of 60K-80K miles.

  • Book by 9/10
  • Travel 9/15-12/12 on dates with saver award space.
  • Valid for United economy only.
  • Round-trip travel required.
  • Not valid with open-jaw or stopover.

As always, compare the cash prices and prices using bank points, though United awards are nice because they can be deposited at any time before departure and don’t require a Saturday night stay.

If I change or need cancel after flight what are my options for the return. Do I get the points refunded?

Zurich

Yes

GUWonder

Back when you could earn way more miles for flying in cheap economy class on United than you can nowadays, 50k miles for a roundtrip mileage ticket was the norm or even on the high-end of pricing for such trips. Now they try to sell us this kind of thing as a flash bargain.

It was less than 50k miles round trip even years after TWA and Panam went under and disappeared from all flight boards at JFK and all other US airports.
