That’s a good deal if you have Delta miles to burn. But if you’re transferring points, you should consider transferring Chase points to Korean at a 1:1 ratio.
They consider Hawaii to be part of domestic US, so you can fly round-trip between the US and Hawaii for just 25K miles in coach or 45K miles in first or Delta One class!
Korean is famous for having the best first class award space in the industry, but they also have an excellent Skyteam award chart.
You need to call Korean to book award travel on Delta at 800-438-5000.
The best part about using Korean miles is that you can cancel and redeposit partner awards without paying any penalty! If you book with Delta miles the change or cancellation fee is $150 per person!
Korean miles also allow for 2 free stopovers compared to none if you book with Delta miles.
Korean also has great rates to Hawaii on Alaska or Hawaiian.

Is the Korean 25k Miles RT better?
Depends on how you value your points and where they are.
If the points are in Korean miles, then 25K is a better deal.
Otherwise if you have points in Delta, they’re worth maybe 1.1 cents each vs 1.7 cents for Chase points, so Delta would be the better play.
It is, but you get no MQMs via Delta points, vs Chase
No MQM with Korean either.
just died
it expires tomorrow but is subject to availability. i see plenty of 35K RT flights from NYC to Kona in Jan/Feb
never mind my bad!
Do you have 24 hours to cancel tickets booked on Delta with miles?
Are all of the flights fully refundable if bought with Delta Miles?
no, only if you have elite status with Delta (i believe only Platinum and Diamond status on Delta).
if not, you have to pay a fee to get your miles back. it’s $150 or so.
No. Delta charges regular/lower level elite members $150 to redeposit miles.
Are you sure? I just did chat on Delta and agent said no charge even with mile tickets
Lol. Another sale without an award chart.
I have Chase points only. Any way to do this?
Yes, added info to the post.
I also have only Chase points. Based on the info provided in the post, I’d be able to fly JFK-LAX-LIH-HNL-NYC for 45k UR ?
Can the flash sale get me from NYC to YVR?
Alternatively, is there a link to a good read on the forum of how I can use my points to get to Whistler?
It’s 30,000 miles from YYZ to OGG but $88CDN in taxes. So less miles but higher taxes.
I’ve found as low as 25,000 miles round-trip from YYZ – OGG. Still $88CDN in taxes
Is it still 2 free stopovers with Korean Air? I just confirmed my tickets to Hawaii yesterday from the East Coast. And I was able to get just one stopover onward. The agent on the phone told me that we cannot do a stopover on my return journey since I already had one flying into Hawaii.
Hi MP, what was your one stopover that they allowed? I am trying to do the same.
BOS-LAX-OGG
Stopover in LAX for 24 hours.
Flying back KOA-LAX-BOS. However this time we stop in LAX for just two hours. Phone agent mentioned it should be less than 4 hours for it to not be counted as a stopover.
Is it also 17.5 K if I’m flying from LAX to HNL?
