American is offering a rebate of 250 miles per flight segment flown if you register here.
This is valid for AA flights flown in October only. You can get a rebate of up to 2,000 miles.
It’s not much, but it’s better than nothing.
You’ll only get a rebate for flights booked after registering, but you can currently refund AA awards, even web specials, for free!
You can use the American award map to find award bargains.
For example, American has brought back domestic transcontinental flights from just 5,000 miles with a stop, such as Islip/Long Island to Los Angeles.
A one-stop flight in coach would be 4.5K miles after the rebate. Or first class would be 14.5K miles after rebate. Or make it a “mileage run” by making 2 stops for 4,250 miles in coach or 14,250 miles in lie-flat Dreamliner first class:
Or just take the rebate on a nonstop flight:
Although next year you can pay even less without a rebate:
Will you take advantage of this offer?

That deal with Islip airport seems to come up often but it’s just way too inconvenient to get there unless you live in Eastern LI
I have seen many destinations from NYC (EWR/JFK/LGA) as well starting at 5,000. Just use their map to find the best places. First class (domestic) starts at 15,000.
there seems to be good availability jfk-lax lie flat business 20k beginning oct for sukkos
Please read the fine print. A lot of websites assumed that because AA changed their cancellation fee last week, that everything counts. The $150 cancellation fee is NOT waived to reinstate your miles because web specials are heavily discounted.
