Air India has now loaded the award space for the flight and it’s excellent. Every flight has 2 business saver awards available and 4-5 coach saver awards available as shows on United.com’s flexible award search calendar:
You can use miles from any Star Alliance carrier to book travel. With United miles the rate is 22.5K miles one-way in coach and 35K miles one-way in business class. Best of all United doesn’t charge any fuel surcharges.
Business class on the Air India Dreamliner are lie-flat seats in a 2-2-2 configuration.
You can also take advantage of this flight as a great way to fly to other locations from Israel, such as Sydney:
Or Melbourne:
Or Singapore:
Or the Maldives:
You can also take advantage of a stopover (“Excursionist perk” in United parlance) within your destination region for free on a round-trip award.
Air India doesn’t operate those routes on a daily basis, so you’ll want to search for which dates have viable flight options on Google Flights and then search for award space on United.com.
Where will you fly on Air India’s new flight between Israel and Delhi?

i take the under on 60 days for united to not have space available. they are going to get swarmed and bombarded with reservations and its going to cost them a fortune. these routes will be devalued quick.
United doesn’t control Air India award space and they’re not going to change pricing for one route.
air india will remove the award space
and united isnt shy too randomly devalue so even though they recently had a number of devaluations, they will likely pay close attention to the specific zone impacted and announce changes
Air India removing space isn’t United.
United isn’t going to quickly devalue this, sorry.
3 stops to the Maldives! Yikes.
There are options with 2…
If you’re flying from Australia during the omer, it’s a great way to get back to the US flying the reverse route.
Explain . Australia to Delhi to JFK? How does Saudi airspace help? Israel in not on the way to USA?
I think Julien is just saying in general AUS-DEL-JFK can be a good way to go AUS-NYC during the Omer. Nothing to do with Israel or Saudia
Hi Dan.
I just had my 250,000 Flying Blue miles expire I was not aware of the 24-hour months expire. is there anyway to reactivate them??
AUS stands for Austin, TX
if u want to write Australia in code you should use MEL or SYD.
AI has TLV DEL service 3 times a week, Sun.Tue.& Thu.
if you depart TLV on Sun. connect in DEL only to SYD (not MEL) on Mon.
if u depart TLV on Tue. you have good connection to MEL.
if you depart TLV on Thu.arriving DEL on Fri. morning the next connection to MEL for jewish orthodox will be on Sun..meaning spending shabbos in DEL.
