Is there a sale to miami?
Where can I find out which dates are still available ?
$400 for kids
What is there cancelation / change policy?
Should be able to convert to a voucher for the price paid with no penalty.
Dan, the elal site says the following:
“You can now change your travel date or destination without incurring change and handling fees, except for Lite tickets for which change and handling fees will be charged as of August 1, 2022.
If the new fare is higher than the old fare, you will still need to pay the difference.”
Does this mean that if I book an elal flight, and then a cheaper elal flight comes up later, I can change yo the cheaper flight and be refunded the difference?
Thanks!
Noooo refund if the ticket price goes down
what I was able to find it was with one stop. Anyway Its a great deal
No love for LA
Dan what’s the science behind most of these deals only originating from tlv and not from the us
Americans will pay more than Israelis?
If anything there are usually more deals originating in the US, no?
So there is a stopover in JFK to get DCA, but My final destination is JFK. Anyone know is I can collect my luggage and not connect?
Sure, but you would lose your return flight.
Can I take the one way and cancel return flight for a voucher?
Dan, on the way back we are supposed to be DC — JFK — TLV. We will already be in the NYC area. Can we not check-in in DC and do it directly from JFK? Any problems with that?
If you don’t take first leg, they cancel second leg
No, you can’t do that. Once you miss one segment of your ticket, the rest of your ticket gets canceled.
This would be the last leg of our trip
What happens if all I have is a hand luggage, and would get off in New York, Would I still have my return flight?
No.
No. Once you miss a segment, the whole rest of your ticket gets canceled.
Any flights close to NY?
Do people actually still book with ELAL??
Had a flawless flight last time.
Thx, I booked TLV DCA, S/O JFK.
Can I stay in JFK, or will it cost me my return flight?
They would cancel the remaining flights.
Why no NY?
Because this deal is for cities without direct flights on ElAl- you have to connect on JetBlue to get this deal.
I’m not a Matmid member. How do I get through to El L to make a reservation from this ad?
Click on “bookable via El Al” in the post?
On the way there, can we take the flight from TLV to DC stopping in NY and just not continue on to DC? Do they anyways make you get your luggage in NY and re-check in?
They would cancel the remaining flights.
Just booked from tlv to washington. thanks.
Is there a way to get on the 2nd leg of the return journey? Skipping Washington DC and getting on at the stopover at JFK-TLV?
Why are all recent sales only when originating from Israel? the American Jews also appreciate good prices….
they arent:
https://www.dansdeals.com/airfare-deals/israel-flights/smoking-hot-price-mistake-fly-nonstop-american-jfk-tel-aviv-just-338-round-trip/?t
Basic laws of economics. There is inelastic demand from America to fly to Israel, meaning Americans will fly to Israel no matter the price. Israelis are a lot more price conscious. I don’t know the exact statistics, but I would not be shocked if 70-80% of Israel flights originate in America. Therefore the ex-TLV sales to attract more Israeli demand without changing the calculus for Americans.
Israelis also have to get visas, which can take months and requires travel to embassy for an interview etc. It can be a huge hassle and is not a guaranteed approval.
With all these deals originating from Israel: It’s time to take a one way to Israel, and book round trip tickets originating from Israel with long stopovers.
if I booked with a chase sapphire or a venture X till how close till the flight can I cancel?
Having difficulty getting hold of the SF deal… Can someone figure this out?
Hi. I like to know if let say I have a flight from DCA and the conticeon it’s by jfk. I can start the flight from jfk or I have to come from the start flight. Ty
Just booked two tix. We live in Israel and do a yearly trip to the East Coast around Thanksgiving. Easy-peasy! Came out to less than 1k for the two of us. We will fly to DC and rent a car.
how come theres nothing for august?
What about succos?
when someone misses a flight does he also lose his return?
my brother actually flew last year from israel to washington and he got off by a stop in new york and didnt lose his return why would this be diff.?
just booked. thanks for letting us know about this deal. can’t wait for deals usa to tlv
We live in Israel and just booked three roundtrip tickets Tlv-jfk-DCA for $498 each on elal.com for Sukkot.
Our final destination is NY so we’ll probably book tickets DCA – NYC… Pity we can’t just get off in NYC and not risk loosing the return flight.
Can I make a ticket originating in Israel and then change the return date to make it bf the departure date(there is free changes just fare difference) will that work?
Can ticket open-jaw DCA-TLV if you’re planning on throwing away the return after outbound to a higher-fare city. Solid deal, thx Dan.
Does the leg to DC need to be taken immediately? Or can it be delayed for a few days?
I booked with Elal and I don’t see an option to cancel within 24hrs of booking for a refund to original payment method.
Isn’t that required of airlines by federal law?
Is there a way to do it?
My husband just booked 2 tickets for us from Tel Aviv to DCA with a stopover in Boston, round trip with CheapOair for $508.99 per ticket. He also purchased flight insurance for $34.95 per ticket. He had a very difficult time trying to get onto the ElAl site to make reservations. Why was that? We’re not members of matmid but that shouldn’t have been a reason to get through to ElAl or so I think.
THANKS, DAN!!
Just booked! 2 adults 4 kids+infant for $2750.
This ticket also allows a stopover!
We booked TLV-JFK-DCA,-Layover-DCA-MIA,-Layover-MIA-TLV.
Awesome!
is this flight still avail?
is this still available?
Dan, TLV -ORD 2/1-2/9 for 698 dollars
Dan, can you please beg elal to offer some discounts on flights originating NY, too?!?
Thanks DAN!! Got in on ElAl website for 2 adults at $499, 2 kids came out to be $480 each, not $400 (Then bought a better itinerary can cancelled the first- oy long hold times…they don’t make cancelling during the first 24 hours easy.
Actually cancel my last comment I forgot they charge for infants
Is this still valid? I am trying to book for Sept 14-28 TLV – DCA and i am not finding this fare anywhere
how can i book from TLV to SFO? is the deal still available? TIA
just wandering if its still availible just tried elal directly priceline and didnt come up
Hey Dan
I just flew Elal and they told me that they are now giving infants without a seat a full 23 kg suitcase. It doesn’t show on the website, but we were told that by multiple agents in TLV. Can you confirm?
I just got this from Orbiz: Here’s my question: I booked one way (Swiss) for 500 to EY, then bought this for rt back. Even if i stay in NY and forfeit the return, I save, as the rt fairs were 2k when i bought this. But i would rather drive to Wash and fly back to EY for free, via JFK. Now they changed that- should I accept or reject? IF I reject, what will they do to my ticket? I don’t want to lose TLV to JFK.
