I tried dates in February, Feb 19-26 and Priceline gives me an option on Turkish airlines from Newark (with a 5 hour stop in Turkey) for $649.38 a person but i dont see any non-stop tickets below $1,000. Thanks.

Thanks @Dan! I just booked tickets through Orbitz for my son’s Bar Mitzvah in February (yes, we are last minute people).
Weird though. When I go to manage my reservation is says that cancelling the tickets is “Free until Sun, Nov 26, 11:59p PST”. According to what you wrote above shouldn’t this be until “TOMORROW night, Nov 27”?!?
It gets even more interesting. I just called Orbitz and the recording said that I could cancel for free within the next 34 hours (which would be 11;59pm TOMORROW night). I then spoke to a representative and he confirmed that the flights could be cancelled until TOMORROW night 11:59pm — and that the website’s Manage Itinerary site for my flight was incorrect. He also suggested that if I wanted to cancel I should probably cancel by phone in case the website messes me up after tonight.
Update:
Even though the website said that the tickets were able to be cancelled for free only until Sunday night (i.e., midnight of the day I bought them), I was able to cancel one of my tickets on Monday, for free. The phone recording and the person I spoke to who did the cancellation said that the website was wrong.

Literally within seconds of this post I tried 1/30 to 2/4 nyc to tlv and it already wasn’t available, I even managed to get a Priceline confirmation number but it came up in my bookings as a ‘failed offer’ Elal might have made a sale but no available seats…
I agree. I feel the sale is just to bring up the hype. Unless your traveling solo I don’t see any dates with the prices posted.
I got in feb from nyc on chase ultimate rewards 2 round trip direct flights with the extra charge for a lap baby for 111,613 points. That gave me about $800 per ticket
