WOW: Fly From NYC, Baltimore, Boston, Or Detroit To Iceland For Just $144 Round-Trip!
- Limited seats are available on each date
- Use a card like Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Sapphire Reserve to earn 2 or 3 Chase points per dollar spent and get free travel/medical insurance, trip/luggage delay protection, and more!
WOW is down to serving just 4 US cities as they restructure since the deal to sell out to IcelandAir fell through. They have a great fare sale right now, though you’ll pay extra for just about everything besides a seat and a personal item.
You can select a WOW Plus fare at the time of booking for about an additional $80 and that will come with a large carry-on bag, a checked bag and an assigned seat. All passengers on the same ticket need the same fare type, so you would have to make separate reservations if everyone doesn’t need that or you can just purchase what you need a la carte.
- You can read legendary DDF member Something Fishy’s Trip Report and amazing pictures from his Iceland PhotoDO here.
- You can read infamous DDFB member Zalmy Silver’s very safe Iceland trip report here.
- You can read the Iceland Master Thread and Wiki on DDF here.
There is now a Chabad House on Iceland, though I’m not sure if they are providing any kosher catering yet. Multiple DDF members have brought their own kosher food to Iceland without any reported issues.

Iceland has been on my bucket list after seeing Something Fishy’s pictures from his PhotoDO there:

when is the best time of year to visit?
Winter for northern lights, spring/summer for activities.

Why is it coming out to $220 for me?
Route/dates?
Ewr to kef march 11 return march 18
Looks like the cheap seats on March 11 are sold out from EWR. Deals like this don’t last long!
This price looks fantastic. But what will I do once I get to Iceland, other than taking the fantastically cheap return flight.
See the links in this post. It’s a stunning country!
I have been there a few times. You can also take a flight to other parts of Europe (what I will do) once you get there, if you don’t want to stay in Iceland…
Why did WOW pull out of CLE?
Same reason they pulled out of CVG, DFW, JFK, LAX, MCO, MIA, ORD, PIT, SFO, and STL. They expanded too aggressively and then Icelandair didn’t bail them out as expected.
CLE still has Icelandair service though.
EWR flights all seem sold out.
Can I get from Israel to NY/ ewr thru Iceland? How would I look for tickets?would like to go April 9
Thanks so much.
You can get to Israel thru Iceland but it’s quite a long journey. Visit Iceland for the sake of visiting Iceland
no you cant they stopped the route and now its only on in the summer
From a quick search online I came across tons of horror stories of people flying wow air….
I’m wondering if that’s still the case? The deal might not be worth it if yes…
how to travel from kef-tlv-kef?
they only fly in the summer to TLV and the tickets are pretty expensive
any clue why wow no longer flies from Chicago
Same price from YYZ.
Maybe one day @Dan will start posting Canadian deals as well.
One more thing,,,, Most nights you will NOT see the northern lights. Its definitely easier to chase them in Yellowknife.
Flights reported last minute cancel and other issues plus potential bankruptcy. Google . I was burnt w air Berlin yom tov tickets. Thrill can be expensive and disappointing
Are there flights from
There to Israel/Europe?
Is this deal dead?? I can’t seem to find the $45 flight anywhere
