I’ve flown Singapore in economy, business, and suites class and the service has always been impeccable. The flight attendants seem to know exactly when to bring you another glass of seltzer and when to leave you alone. It’s my favorite airline to fly in any class of service.
I flew from Newark to Singapore back in 2013 It was the longest flight in the world then and it still is, but flying on Singapore makes it something special.
Premium Economy seats are a step up from domestic first class seats, with more recline and legroom and a legrest. You’ll also get priority checkin, boarding, and baggage handling.
This R class fare will earn full mileage credit on nearly all Star Alliance partners. That’s 19,068 miles for Newark-Singapore or 17,540 miles from Los Angeles-Singapore round-trip. If credited to United you’ll earn 19,068 redeemable miles and 3,178 PQPs.
Read more about Singapore in my 2013 trip report and in the Singapore Master Thread. And don’t forget to allow time to explore the awesome Singapore Changi Airport! Singapore is also a great hub for flights to other destinations.

Just took that flight in June with my family in business class EWR-SIN. The A350 is a fantastic plane and SQ is one of the best airlines in the world. However, there’s no way I could recommend flying 18+ hours in premium economy.
