- Bookable on Priceline. Tickets purchased from Priceline today are refundable until 11:29pm EST tomorrow. Please see this post for directions on how to cancel these tickets. Note that even cheaper fares can be found via Momondo, though I’ve seen horror stories from readers who have been sent to unscrupulous online travel agencies from there, so I would proceed with caution from them.
Star Alliance carriers ANA and United have $328 round-trip fares from JFK or Newark to Kuala Lumpur. Flights connect in Tokyo.
From Kuala Lumpur you can book dirt cheap flights on low cost carriers like Air Asia, JetStar, or Scoot to cities like Chiang Mai, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Phuket, Singapore from just $11 each way! Use Google Flights’ Explore Map to find chap places to go.

anything to do in Kuala Lampur? Or just as a transit stop? Do they allow Jews in?
Any good deal from there to Israel?
Hi Dan just booked for 2. Can I ditch the NRT to KUL flight and somehow get my luggage?
When I was looking at fares, the one I saw had an airport transfer in Tokyo. So they probably need you to take your luggage. But in that case, you’d essentially be using this as a one way ticket to Tokyo since they’ll probably cancel the ticket back if you don’t board to KUL.
