Paris is easily one of my favorite cities in the world. You can read my 2010 trip notes here and 2012 trip notes here.
Kosher travelers won’t go hungry in the city of lights. You can find up-to-date restaurant tips in the Paris Master Thread on DDF.
In 2010 we spent Shabbos in Paris and had wonderful meals with other travelers from around the world at Chabad of Champs Elysées. I highly recommend reserving meals with them!

Using Chase Points:
You can pay for the ticket with “hybrid points” such as AMEX or Chase points with a card that allows your points to be used at an increased value for airfare in addition to be able to transfer points into airline miles.

You can login to your account and redeem Chase points for travel here. The round-trip cost for main-cabin will be 26,656 points with a Sapphire Reserve. That rate include all taxes and you will still earn flight miles as well!
Using AMEX points:
- If you have an AMEX Business Platinum Card you can get a 35% rebate of points used.
You can login to your account and redeem AMEX points for travel here.
This is bookable for 60,427 points with AMEX with insider fares. Plus you’ll get back a 35% rebate with the Business Platinum Card or a 25% rebate with the Business Gold Card, dropping the total needed to as low as 25,990 points. That includes all taxes and you can still earn miles for flying!

See the title 🙂
Price change
Ticket prices changed from $1,729.14 to $4,111.50. Because prices change often, we recommend booking now to lock in this price.
Does basic economy get a free bag with AA credit card?
No, domestic only with AA.
What you recommend January time or is it too cold then?
I went in December and had a wonderful time.
However it seems like this deal is now dead.
For your airline offers is it better to book from Orbitz/Priceline or directly from the airline?
Was anyone able to get it? It just kept on updating the price
Norse airways has many dates for $366/rt
Basic economy
just flew them in June, fabulous experience
Is it just my feeling or is there any truth to my observation that most travel glitches/mistake fares/deals are AA? Why is that so?
