If you read the reviews, you will see that this is a horrible airline, and they charge you for everything. Want to bring a carry on? That’ll be $30. carry on too big? another $35. Change flight? $75. Want a juice or soft drink? That’ll be $2.
Want to move to an empty economy seat next to your spouse? That’ll be $20. All i’m saying is make sure you compare apples to apples before you book. The flight alone is dirt cheap of course, but by the time you add on all the “Gotcha” fees, you might be better flying a real airline like A”A or Delta.

Insult is uncalled for, Dan… especially right before Yom Kippur. :-\ I have no problem plugging in dates, to see if the discount exists… but just as everyone else stated, NYC is not listed as an originating, outgoing flight option. In the spirit of the holiday, I forgive you for being nasty. 😉

@ted: ted, Dan pointed out that they charge for check backs and large carry ons. He also pointed out how you can save money on the bag fees. Of course the best thing to do it pack light, bring a small carryon that fits under the sit and then you don’t have to pay anything. There are lots of additional way to bring more stuff. One example is a vest jacket that has big pockets. You wear it while boarding the plane and take it off and it converts to a bag. You only have to wear it for the 5 minutes while you walk past the gate agent and onto the plane.

I then opened a new browser and simultaneously did the same booking – and didn’t even reach the cc part….and got an actual reservation number with a note to call a number within 24 hrs to confirm the reservation….

Booked 4 tickets LGA-MIA for winter break mid-late January. I was happy to pay more for the perfect dates. Two separate itineraries averaged to $99.50 per ticket. All four booked as one itinerary would have been more than $500 total.

Lap children can be added at the gate for free on all domestic flights.
Though for this price you should have just bought a seat!

I know but the baby isn’t born yet lol so I don’t know the name, hahaha.

I realized after that it allowed me to add a lap child to the ticket, so should I call and add the lap child or are you sure that they wont give me a problem at the airport?

site is dying. trying non -stop since 11am on all possible destinations. can’t book. have gotten every error message possible at every stage. Time to give up.

trying for about 1 1/2 hours to book 5 tix from Phil-MIA and I keep getting every error possible. Then it wouldn’t accept my credit card. I see the bookings in my account but of course the website has more errors and automated # says 43minutes to speak to a customer service — every 5 minutes it says 43 minutes. On hold already for 43 minutes… guess I’m not getting too lucky.

@adam0619 it shows $39 each way but then when you select it is actually $81 one way and $39 return. I am now getting $300 total but still too much 🙁

@chocolate: Sorry to hear that. These things go super quickly. The price was available when you first called up the site, and one of two things happened:

1. The seat was snatched up at that low price before you were able to click through to book, or
2. You sought to book more seats than were available at that price.

The promotion offered limited seats at the low price, so it’s not surprising that the availability is dwindling at this point.

There are other ways to get down there, though.

And still, while $120 for a RT to Miami is not the steal of the century, it’s still a good price for a ticket…

The site wouldn’t let my payment go through and said to call. When you call, go for the option for additional help and then go for option for web help. Waiting 1 minute and they found my reservation even though I never got reservation number. and honoring everything.

Thanks Dan! I purchased the tickets right away! Booked 3 tickets LGA >>MIA roundtrip (+ infant on lap- totally free, no extra charge), paid for seats, and paid for a carry on each way. Will pay for 1 or 2 checked bags when doing online checkin.
Grand total: $147
The process was very simple and self explanatory. I became a Frontier member so I get the reduced baggage prices.
Now we have to find some great hotel deals for Sunday >> Tuesday. Perhaps we will look for those hotels that try to sell you a timeshare…

Thank you so much for this amazing deal DAN. I wanted to go to my home town philly just to say i flew MIA to PHILLY for under $40. I booked tickets to denver from MIA for $160 and the same tickets for almost the EXACT same time are available on spirit airlines for $30 less. Thus, even with the silly fees i think spirit will be cheaper. THANK YOU to all of the posters who told me how to cancel. I think i am about to cancel and perhaps fly to LGA or PHL….and DEN. 🙂

First off I have to thank Dan without this deal I would not be able to get these two tickets from Philadelphia to Miami during Yeashiva week for $152 flat!!!!!
Second this is a deal that was a special that frontier was running. And it wasn’t the price mistake so according to the rules you are allowed to call the company. Which I did after getting a wrong price on the site they credited me the full ticket of the greater price that I purchased on the website and refund me for the sales price. Just goes to show what HUCA can-do. It took me an hour to get through another hour on hold and two hours talking to the representative.
