You can go to Expedia and click on “Multi-Destination.”
Search for a flight from Newark to Tel Aviv on 01/28 for example.
In the next segment search for a flight from Tel Aviv to Houston/IAH on 02/05 for example.
This is the first search result:
The outbound flight is a regular nonstop from Newark to Tel Aviv.
The return flight is from Tel Aviv to Houston. Click on “show flight details” and you’ll notice that it connects in Newark. By law all checked baggage coming in on flights from abroad must be claimed at baggage claim and brought past customs officials before you can recheck them.
You can just take the tags off your bag in Newark and nobody is going to force you to fly to Houston.
This is called hidden city ticketing, and of course the airlines don’t love that. And airline reps will probably lie to you and say that your bags will go straight to Houston even though they will not. They will be tagged to Houston, but everyone has to pick them up in Newark.
They can decide not to give miles for your trip, though only USAirways has actually followed through with that threat. I don’t suggest anyone do this every month, but tons of people save money by buying tickets with hidden city ticketing every day without problems.
You can only depart tonight or tomorrow, 01/27 or 01/28 for this $694 fare!
Valid return dates include 02/03, 02/04, 02/05, 02/06, 02/11, 02/12, 02/13, 02/19.
You can read this post for more on how to utilize hidden city ticketing.

DEAD
Thank you
@Jared:
Most definitely still alive.
Which dates didn’t work for you?
go to united.com its available there
Is this fare MR worthy?
783$
@CHAIM:
Expedia will give you until midnight the day after you book to cancel, a more generous policy than United.
@Shaul Yaakov:
lower-tier elite status isn’t worth the cards they print it on.
@abe:
For what dates??
01 28- 02 5
@abe:
Still $694 for me using my Expedia link in the post.
you have something do bru for apr 10=23?
yea its on cad$ 783
@abe:
Search online or call a travel agent.
@abe:
So use the US site.
@Dan
What class ticket is this? Probably not high enough to earn 100% Aegean miles.
@TG:
Of course not.
Many of the flights I’m checking to hack for return on 2/13 seem to have no listed stop at Newark. If the flight stops in CDG it goes straight to IAH. Is there a way to show just the flights which stop on the return in Newark?
What do you tell Israel security when they ask you your return destination?
@JG:
The first 4 I pull up on Expedia all are via EWR.
@Tita:
The truth. They could care less that you booked a hidden city ticket.
Thanks a million for deals like these please keep posting more often as they become available.
THANKS Again Dan for the post. Keep it coming!!!!!
Dan, any way to make this work if I’m leaving from MIA or FLL, like which hidden city can i put in if i want to arrive/leave from in MIA or FLL?
Any return dates for after pesach?
Dan, I think you need to add to this kind of post that if asked at the airport what your destination is you must say the “fake” ultimate destination. My friend recently flew from Israel and did not know about this trick, someone else booked his ticket. In any case he said Newark instead if the real end location and was not allowed to board in Israel. He had to buy new tickets..
Btw if u go tom till 5th u have delta nonstop for 740 too on xpidia
@TR@Dan We really need a consensus on this –
Israeli security can be very unreasonable sometimes.
Thank you so much Dan. I got a ticket for my sister. She is flying out soon for $694 after tax. Thank you very much!!
I am a newbie in using points for flights and I truly need help with this. (I read a few threads but somehow am getting lost when I start the booking process) I live in south Florida and my wife and 1 year old son need to go to Israel for 2 weeks before Pesach. Dates are from mid March for 2 weeks (Wedding in Israel on 3/31). I have 58K points on my BA chase card and about 20K amex membership awards. What is the best way to go with this? Thank you in advance for anyone’s help with this.
@dan
Can I hack a ticket from Israel to NY? Will it work?
Dan,why is every time i saw your Ad lawyer price on every flight from NYC to TLV,and try to get it,never ,never can get it,,is something wrong with me,?
looking forward hearing from you,
thanks
@TR: Just flew to Israel. It’s pretty simple: While entering the line and at the ticket counter, you mention the ticket’s destination flight. However by the BORDER PATROL when they ask you, usually on your way in, you say the truth.
LGA-MIA for $160 on UA. limited dates but worth it [plus a atop in Cleveland to meet dan]
@Dan: This didn’t work for me. Need a ticket leaving from NYC Feb 12th (late night flight), returning late night on the 23rd or early 24th. Any help @
Any Specials from NY to TLV 2/18/2/27?
