This is valid in either direction from Star Alliance carriers Air Canada and United.Ā $81.10 of this fare goes to line the pockets of the US and Canadian governments, so this is really a rock-bottom fare for this route.
This is only valid to or from Newark, if you want LGA or JFK (or if you want to go to other Canadian cities like Montreal) then consider using 9,000 BA Avios (or 7,000 AMEX MR points currently) to fly round-trip, though international taxes add $57 to that redemption.
Departures are available from now through 06/26/13.
A sample valid date is 01/14-01/21, but there is tons of availability.
To help find valid dates check the Orbitz box to search ā3 days before and afterā to help find other valid dates.
Or I highly recommend that you read about using ITA Software and use their awesome month-long calendar search to help find dates with cheap flights.

hi dan i have a question about the ita matrix
i see a price over there (not the toronto one)
and when i go to the airlines site i get a difference price so my q is an i book it directly from the ita matrix site ? and how?
On the Chase site it says that you only get the 5X UR points if booked directly through the airline, not a discount travel site. Does it work anyway and they just say it doesn’t? Or does this not actually get you 5X points?
not pricing out at 180, trying to book for 2 seniors for jan 3 to jan 6 and pricing at 280 per ticket
@mrs k:
Orbitz uses ITA pricing. You can’t book from ITA.
@Freedome:
Orbitz just passes on the charge to the airline they don’t actually charge you.
@eli:
Use the flex search options I wrote about.
Do we know how long this deal will last?
Is this mileage earning? If so, what is the cpm?
Dan,
This works from other cities too. I am about to pull the trigger on ORD-YYZ for $219 which is a great deal!
Do you always use orbitz? Just curious.
Any idea how long this sale will last?
I too can’t seem to find that price it’s giving me 253 and I can’t find a flex search option help?!
I just booked on Orbitz March 4th from jfk and i think you can also get it from lga
Porter airline has $66 all taxes and fee’s included. One way to Toronto
milage is 704 and the ticket is 181 with tax cpm is almost 26 cpm (correct me if im wrong)
1 way flights LGA/JFK to YYZ is $65 on a lot of days. return flights are $120
I just book
From ord $219 non stop flight …..
if you are looking for a mileage run nyc-hnl on aa for 4xx with a connection in lax comes out to about 2cpm, its a 2 day trip but no hotel is needed.
Funny question. It seems that BA changed their site, and I can no longer find the search partner carriers to find that cheap flight. Anyone know a way around it?
@Shmerel:
Lol, you don’t have to include them anymore, they’re there automatically!
Dan, how do you find these fares? Do you have search notifications from certain sites? I would like to hear about fares like this from the San Francisco area. Thanks!
One can book on flyporter.com for a flight from Newark to Toronto for $185.86 which is technically more than with Orbitz or any other system. The difference is in baggage fees. With porter, one gets 1 free checked baggage up to 23 KG and a carry on. I’m unfamiliar with other airline policies, but I know Air Canada has a baggage fee as well as United.
Porter Airlines has a lounge with free WiFi at Newark and their very friendly. Their planes are not the newest on the block and overhead capacity is limited, and being that they fly from Newark and they land on Toronto Island they can run into delays.
If I needed to rate my experience with them (albeit I haven’t flown a lot with them) I would give them an 8 out of 10.
@Izzy: west jet has free first checked bag
@mo: A lot more expensive apparently. š
Hey Dan do u ever find deals from tlv to ny for us bochurim returning home after Purim for pesach?
I booked ticket through Orbitz JFK Toronto March 5 & return March 6
A day later I realized it was the wrong dates i needed.
I was booked on AA
I booked corrected dates on Orbitz 3/4-3/5
Orbitz says i cant get refund because the fees to change are more than my ticket costs!
I paid with Citi Advantage Amex
I called AA they said if i would have booked through them (same price) I would have 24 hours to change at no charge
@Mendel:
You can cancel Orbitz tickets online for free until 11pm the day after you book.
Is google.com/flights the same as matrix.itasoftware.com ?
Is this still alive?
Thanx
not alive anymore š
I’m stuck in NY. I would like to get back to toronto asap. How can I book this cheap ticket one way from LGA (if not then JFK or EWR) to toronto? I tried using ur link but didn’t get anywhere.
Is this still alive??
