Dan, why couldn’t you tell the airlines to match this fare for us NY people? I’m unfollowing this site, it’s so useless.
Mileage, I live in the NYC area just like you. But, my friend we vastly differ in how we see the USA. We know there are 50 states and hundreds of large, medium, and small metropolitan markets spread across from Atlantic to Pacific. With all respect, it takes the competence, humility, and maturity to realize that there are other viewers who may live in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Milwaukee, Louisville, etc and will find benefit in this deal. The world doesn’t revolve around me and doesn’t revolve around NY. Thank you for time.
I’m pretty sure mileagejunkie is joking. The deals are almost *always* from NY. 😀
Oy vey
All so true, let’s try not to be narrow-sighted. Believe it or not, there are yidden all over the country, my dear…
The ‘savy’ flyer heads to Pittsburgh, then figures out a way to get to NYC. ie Amtrak, Bold bus, rental car, or a cheap flight PIT/NYC. 😉
are these basic economy fares? it’s pretty important, as you normally get what you paid for. if basic economy, then might has well tell united to beat you and drag you off whenever ….
Dan…these are not really deals if basic economy. Might as well tell people to fly Spirit because they are such a deal
Utter nonsense.
United has:
-Free snacks.
-Free water and other drinks.
-Better seats
-Much more legroom
-Reclining seats
-WiFi/TV/streaming entertainment, etc.
-More valuable miles than Spirit does.
-Priceline cancellation available until 11:29pm the following day, even within 7 days of travel.
-If you have a United Explorer or Club card you still get free checked and carry-on bags.
-50 pound checked bags instead of 40 pounds
-United has more frequent flights and interline partners to accommodate passengers in case of irregular operations, whereas on Spirit you can wait days for a new flight if yours is cancelled.
Shall I go on?
Hi, do you usually find cheap flights from LAX to JFK/EWR in the summer and vise versa. Or should I not be waiting around for a deal and just book it now? Looking to fly from end of July to beginning of August.. 🙂
