It looks like these cheap fares are only for Basic Economy. When you select Economy on United’s site, the price jumps up to approx $200 for a one way ticket. So I guess you just book Basic Economy and can pay extra during the booking if you want to choose your seat – but does United allow you to check a bag if you do Basic Economy?
You can also just book an extra seat and you’ll be guaranteed an aisle or window and an empty middle.
You can pay for a checked bag just like on a regular ticket or get it free with a United card.
Dan, If i book for my sister a ticket with my united card, does she get a free checked bag? and if not, what if i book myself with her on the same reservation and i dont end up flying, will she receive a free checked bag?
The latter will work.
I i fly domestic with children under 18 what kind of paperwork do i need to take along with them? i dont have an ID or passport for them
Nothing.
Is it a good idea to go with 2 little kids? 2 and half and a 8 month old?
I did it with a 1 year old in the winter, very doable and Chabad has tons of food to buy, including chicken and meat
It’s a bummer, but PR was just added to the NY and NJ “quarantine states” when returning homes
i know. any other ideas where i can go?
You live in the NYC area I presume? Try going to Cooperstown if you are a baseball fan. They are open, and it’s in NY State of course. … I wouldn’t go to Niagara Falls (the US side only) if you are strict about social distancing. …Idk consider Boston. The thing is most places southward and westward are going to be those “quarantine states”.
Do you really have to show a test or it’s fine if I go strait to a hotel
as a destination is it worth going to? it really doesn’t seem like a very nice or interesting destination.
Waiting on Jetblue to match this 🙂
Before COVID, they and Delta both had fares for $32-40 and it was valid from JFK.
