Thanks, Dan. I already had an Alaska flight LAS to EWR with a change in SFO booked with miles. I got the same price on United as Priceline ($99), and then actually booked on United for 10K miles, nonstop, leaving 4 hours later later and arriving same time. 24 hours to cancel. Then I successfully cancelled the Alaska tickets with redeposit of miles and refund of the $5.60.
Added bonus–It is a taanus, so now by leaving later, I can daven the whole shacharis with a minyan at shul before I leave, rather than rushing at the gate!
