Just to note, these are United Basic Economy tickets which have lots of restrictions (no assigned seats, no full size carry on, etc.). Check to make sure it works for you
The post says how to get rid of most of those restrictions…
Our FLL-MDW return trip on 01/26 also dropped to $25 or 723 miles on Southwest. Re-booked it earlier today and had to call in afterwards to cancel the old reservation. Rep on phone couldn’t believe it was so cheap. So far I got the inbound flight on the 21st down to $85 from $108 and hopefully it will go lower.
Nice!
I’m new to the airline ” points ” game. At what point is it more advantageous to pay via CC than to use points. Let’s say a ticket is $24 & it would take 1200 points to get a ticket, do you go the Cc route or the points route. Or, if the $24 ticket costs 500 points, which would you take.
The value of a point depends on which type of point or mile you’re talking about.
Didn’t know there were different types of points or miles . Do you have a primer on using points/miles.
As I said, I’m new to this. I got the Chase Sapphire Reserve CC with the 100K bonus, now I wanna find out how to make use of them to my advantage.
phl to MIA you can get for $20 either way going this week
That’s on Spirit. Enjoy.
Does the Barclays AA avigator also offer same benefits as the citi AA?
Anything from YYZ?
Is this only with point
Dan – I have a CC to get around most of the restrictions, but I have 3 small children and am concerned about the lack of seat assignment. My sense is they will split us all up – is there any way to protect against this or do I need to beg on the plane?
