What does “a Saturday stay in tel aviv is required” mean?

That you can’t return to PHL without staying for a Saturday in Tel Aviv. I.E. No Sunday-Thursday flights.
Any way to upgrade?

A bunch of those dates are already gone, 9/16-10/7 is $937, 9/21-10/7 as well.
Any idea how long this fare will be valid until?

Usually one could leave on Motzoei Shabbos and come back the same week (though that is only practical in the winter given the time of the flight)
What is this? Philadelphia airfare day? 🙂
great price for sukkos in isreal
little problem with flight time as it leaves at 9 pm and arrives at 3;15 pm next day
must take 9/16 flight for sukkos

@ExGingi: If you fly El Al and live within 45 minutes of the airport you can leave NYC Motzei Shabbos even in the winter.

Two issues with that:
1. Ask your LOR if you are allowed to fly ElAl on Motzoei Shabbos (almost guaranteed to involve Chillul Shabbos in direct connection with making this flight available)
2. Then there are those of us who won’t fly ELAL on any day of the week due to past experiences.

(s/o from NY only needs BA 4500 to get to bwi and on the return can just leave the airport in JFK)
Re: AA.com. They will not let you cancel after ticketing if you’ve previously held that itinerary (and now I believe they only let you hold if it’s more than a week in advance) but if you buy the ticket without the hold then you DO have 24 hours to cancel.

If i need to leave from CLE and therefore book a separate US Airways flight (using avios), do i need to check my bags twice? Do i pay baggage fee from CLE-PHL? Booking CLE-TLV comes out expensive. tks

I flew last winter to Israel with us airways. After sitting on the plane for a couple of hrs the flight was canceled with some bogus excuse. They were very unhelpful with rescheduling and offered no compensation or hotel. I never had such a bad experience with any other airline
US Airways to Israel is the best, only airline to have just 2 seats by the windows, perfect for couples not to have to sit next to a smelly seatmate!

I was able to get Sept. 16 – Oct. 07, direct for $ 817.00
vs. $896.00 with priceline
And Dan is right you can cancel a booked flight with Priceline
to first midnight after booking confirmation which I just did

The law is that ANY ticket can be cancelled within 24 hours of ticketing.
