I would advise against taking this deal. Pay the extra 150 dollars not to fly with alitalia. Last year i paid 700 for tickets on alitalia and my expierence was so bad that i said never again. Besides for waiting in line for 4 hours why they had trainees running the counters after the computers had been down. Nasty comments said by supervisors against the jews. Not worth it.
Anything over pesach?
Not worth. Pay the extra money to fly other airlines. Last year i got cheap tickets thru alitalia and enver again. Besides for loosing baggage which they are notorious for doing their service was horrendous. On all of our flights they messed up our seats and we had to wait 4 hours due to understaffing.
got anything for log bo’omer ?
I got cheap Alitalia tickets. I would have not gone if not for them, but thinking back, I should of just paid a bit more or even more than a bit to go on a pleasant flight. Nasty pple, ridiculous delays, upwards of 4 hours, lack of service…. in summary: if u are going anyways, book a nice flight (not ALITALIA), if all u need is cheap, than this is it. YOU GET WHAT U PAY FOR!!
flight is long. book with an airline that does not make it longer. ESP when its sooo not enjoyable and anti semetic
Have to agree to above, was a disaster last year with al italia
Is it possible to get this price in reverse? From tel Aviv to jfk round trip?
You can book on kayak.com 02.23-03.03 from nyc to bru for $737 with a stop in turkey… then for $129 buy a round trip from turkey to israel… you can play around and get more good deals
I just tried to do it for those sample dates and other dates, I got a 10% off but the round trip still priced over $1400…not 696….
Sounds like one person griping about 4 hr delay. Not the best deal but if you don’t want to count on mistake fares it’s not bad.
sam, not sure how much you will pay for your big luggage from turkey if separate tix
Alitalia is a disaster. To put in perspective,
Think of it as a international spirit air. Delays
Are insane, and workers are meaner then mean.
Never again.
I flew with them last year had a very bad experience would not do it again
I tried it a couple of times (even with dan’s sample dates) and it took of just $1.00. maybe just I’m supposed to see the discount only after i receive my itinerary.
anti semites
Dan! Need ur help! Booked flight to honolulu…THANKS TO YOUR POST!!! What can I do for a great hotel rate?
I just got it to work, it only worked when i didn’t copy paste.
thanks Dan.
Any way to use these dates from tlv to JFK?
How can I get the text to be informed
anything from chicago???
Hey folks, Alitalia is rude to ALL !
Not worth it for free!!!!
horrible eperience w them
got 2 RT 2.1-2.9 for $708 a ticket. Hope the dire warnings of lousy service and anti-semitism don’t pan out
from JFK
Dont agree- I had a great experience with Alitalia last year. e/o was extremely courteous and professional and nice etc. flight was ttly fine.
DAN- anywhere else aside from tlv (i.e. Europe)
does this work for tlv-jfk for pesach?
It from israel? Or to israel?
Has alsw from israel to nyc??
Dan with the changes in United and devaluation ANA has become a real find at 60,000 miles roundtrip to Israel but I find the process of securing those flights a bit difficult. First you have to find the nonstop United and US airways saver awards(which seems very sparse)then you have to get around the fact that most people dont have enough ANA miles to search(i know there is a workround) and then one ways are a bit hard to find etccc. You mentioned you would post a tutorial before I think it would be a big help for us. Thanks
Thanks Dan. People should keep in mind that Alitalia is (once again) in dire financial straits and this time it is not likely they will be bailed out by AF or LH. Might not want to book with them unless it is in the very near future.
@MarktMan:
They’ve been in dire straits for years.
Even if they do go under usually another airline will honor their tickets or you can always do a chargeback with your credit card.
I am unsure whether to say the $200 or rather just book with Turkish at $200 extra but where I get Star Alliance/United miles – I have a MileagePLus account
@DerekS:
Turkish does not give United miles on their cheap tickets.
@Dan: Yes, you are right! thanks (the only other advantage is I get 3 bags on Turkish as I have a Gold Card – but from 2014 I am rather going to open a Miles and Smiles card with Turkish as in addition now with United have to have spent at least $5k on UNITED flights. Thanks
I booked four tickets with Alitalia earlier this week for $787 a piece. Sorry that I missed this deal. I spoke to a ticketing agent on the phone, they were very professional, courteous, patient, helpful and pleasant to deal with.
I flew with Alitalia a few years back. We did not have any problems with the bags/service, but they did screw up our food. And, despite 16 hours between landing in Milan and leaving Rome for Israel, they insisted that they could not get us Kosher food.
Otherwise, we had a 12 hour daytime layover in Rome. It was excellent.
Did tlv-fco, milan-jfk.
Good service. Plane from milan was A330, with great AVOD and great seats.
Jfk-fco took premium economy. Great product.
anything for pesach April 10th-24th
We have had pleasant experiences with Alitalia even with accommodating our baby.
@sam: @Hate Alitalia: @notagoodidea: EU law require airlines to pay meaningful compensation to passengers for delays of a certain length of time. It may be worth your while to look into your eligibility for compensation for your flight delays.
I had a nightmare last time I flew with them, from luggage issues to in-flight issues to airport issues. They were an absolute nightmare through and through
Hi am looking for a one way ticket from isreal to usa so if I take this deal and not get on the first leg of the flight (because I am already in isreal) will they let me go on the next half from Israel to usa eaven thogh I didnt get on the first half and all so maybe you know of any cheap one way ticket from Israel to nyc
I booked 2 tickets to Israel from JFK for $707 each. Now the coupon code doesn’t work, and the link to signup for the newsletter isn’t loading the page. I need one more ticket. Any ideas?
