All of the major airlines will be matching these fares, so if you care more about the miles than the free bags just keep watching for fares to drop during the Southwest sale dates.
For example a United flight from Cleveland to Kansas City that I’ve been monitoring has just dropped from $506 to $196 connecting or $218 nonstop. Southwest doesn’t fly nonstop on that route but United has matched with a great nonstop price.
