At checkout, hidden in the “Payment Method” dropdown, there is a box that says “Enter a gift card, voucher or promotional code”
When you go to checkout, in the credit card selection there is usually a box to enter promo codes all the way at the bottom, after all of your saved credit cards.

I followed both steps and my total went down $13.50- $3 for the coupon and $10.50 for the code. 29.99-13.50=$16.49
