That’s unlike buying groups, where there have been horror stories posted of missing items, payments not made for weeks, not responding to emails, requests to return the merchandise, people getting banned from buying at stores, etc.

Trust takes time… but way back when in one of the first ones Dan advertised for them he gave a personal guarantee which got me started with PFS. Beyond that, I can tell you that the difference once I started with PFS is that they have names, they use them, they are responsive, reachable and easy to work with. I have had no problems in several years now and quite a few successful deals. I can tell you, though, it is frustrating on the US Mint site. Several times I spent the time and effort and could not successfully make the purchase because their website is slammed and sells out in minutes… but I was successful enough times (including this one today) that it is worth the attempts. Took me almost 20 minutes today… but I successfully got both deals in. Close to $350 profit expected (after their pay and cash back and such) for probably an hour’s work total between the purchase, label and return shipping.

You get the money back well before your credit card bill is due if you follow their process. I have done quite a few of these with PFS and never had anything different than advertised.
I’ve used them before. Only positive experiences. You’re shipping to your house, so no issue with getting banned from stores. I get paid right away, they give a lot of good guidance on how to get the best shot of your order going through, and they’re very responsive.
Like others have said – there are never guarantees, and don’t spend money you can’t afford to lose, but my experiences with this group lead me to continue trusting them.

In the olden days, Dan would take responsibility if these deals went south. I don’t know he was compensated for taking that responsibility. Whatever the case, if Dan restarts that then I’d be in for all of these deals.
When PFS first advertised with us, we required a collateral and guaranteed readers against losses. After the first couple deals with no complaints we allowed them to advertise without that requirement and noted the change.
We’ve been running ads for years since that change and they have proved to be trustworthy and quickly pay the promised amount with tens of thousands of transactions, lots of positive feedback, and without any negative feedback.

Any comments/data points, as to which credit cards give rewards on us mint purchases? I can say that USBank did NOT give me reward points for my purchase last time (but it wasn’t a cash advance either).
Citi Double cash is one of the best and always gave points. Freedom unlimited may even be a bit better for those who have the CSR card but I never tried that card with us mint purchases. You can take a gamble that it will ship during the summer instead of October and use PayPal with a discover card and get 5% on the first $1500. Aside from the shipping time not being guaranteed, some have been saying that there can be issues when using PayPal, though it is a payment option offered by the mint.

Yes you can but it’s risky. If you sell it on eBay and the buyer says he received an empty box then you lose your coin.
If you sell anything on ebay and buyer says box came empty you lose… in fact if you sell anywhere online and buyer says empty you lose… happens to be if you sell on ebay you may not even lose as your protected by ebay (ebay will evaluate case by case but a if the feel the customer is lying they will cover seller)
If you have a good selling record with eBay/PayPal, and the customer not so much, and you shipped to the confirmed address etc., you may win even if there’s a dispute. I got scammed with an expensive iPad and PayPal gave me the money and didn’t hold me responsible, as I had followed all the rules. But yes, obviously this is ripe for scammers…

I placed order for O privy, and the “loading” circle is still spinning after 10 minutes.
While that was going on I went to place order for CC privy and the page shut down with error.
I received email from US Mint with order number and it says it’ll give more details in 24 hours.
Problem is, I’m not sure which of the 2 orders actually went through – O or CC – and the US Mint order status page says “Order History is currently offline”.
What should I do?

Successfully open in with PFS on both coins and successfully placed both orders with the US Mint. I then confirmed with PFS of my order of the 10 “CC” coins. However, when I try to confirm my order of 10 “O” coins, the only option that the PFS page shows is “Was unable to place order”.
I did not find any way to directly contact PFS, so I’m trying through DansDeals.

It took quite a few tries but at 12:15 my order for the 20 coins went through. The Mint’s servers just can’t handle the volume. Phone orders are supposedly accepted but extension 1 rings busy one it’s time for the order.
I got a pending charge for the coins,wasn’t it supposed to charge me when it ships?
They always do a pending charge to see if you can pay, but if it doesn’t ship right away, it should disappear.
I’ve never had any problems with PFS. I think they are the only trustworthy group, AFAIK.
Anyway, the problem isn’t PFS…it’s the U.S. Mint’s ability to handle an onslaught of requests at noon Eastern.
They charged my credit card already, they’re definitely not waiting until they ship.

I see many comments about “no negative feedback” on PFS. This is not really true. Just have to go look and you can find some. Aron is not a pleasure to deal with at all. From my personal experience, my first deal i confirmed a coin, then the mint cancelled because my card ended up blocking the transaction. Forwarded the cancellation email from the mint and i got called a cheat and scammer. Aron said i created a fake email in order to sell the coin privately. He then threatened legal action. Would have loved to complete the deal and pocket the profit as it was $300 (i think). Not saying he will not pay, but with the way he treated me, i don’t find it a hard stretch to believe a rug pull might be in the future. I only do these deals nowadays if i can sell to a coin shop in my area. Surprisingly all the past deals that PFS has run the past 2 years, local coin shops have matched or beat the price (all but 1 deal which i ended up returning the coin to the mint for a small loss) DYOR and mitigate any potential loss. JM2C.
I wonder if they really follow through with Legal action? I mean talk about the amount of timemoney that costs them. It isn’t worth it I’d assume.
