Four Hours Left To Win A Cruise Aboard The Journey Of A Lifetime To Antarctica!
Chabad of Northeast Portland is proud to offer a raffle for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a kosher catered cruise to Antarctica.
The raffle will be livestreamed here.
A maximum of 800 entries will be sold. As of 10:30am there are 457 entries in the raffle.
Registration for the cruise is closed, so this is now the only way to join!
The winner will receive:
- 1 ticket for a passenger to cruise in a shared Triple Cabin, or a $14,000 credit that can be applied towards an upgraded cabin for 1 or 2 people on the cruise.
- $3,500 cash
- A Sea Kayaking Package in Antarctica ($795 value)
The winner will have to purchase their own airfare to Ushuaia, Argentina. The $3,500 cash portion of the prize should be more than enough to cover that.
You can see Dan’s post on the trip here. You can read all of the details about the trip on the kosher cruise website at KosherAntarctica.com and you can find trip details and dates here.
Raffle entries are available for purchase here as follows:
- 1 ticket for $79

- 8 tickets for $360
- 13 tickets for $540
- 25 tickets for $1000
- 50 tickets for $1800
- 120 tickets for $3,600

1 ticket for a passenger to cruise in a shared Triple Cabin – prize is for 1 person and they get to bunk with 2 other random ppl?
They will bunk with 2 other people from our group unless they want to upgrade.
cost of upgrade?

that’s not bad. can use the $3500 winnings to get yourself an upgrade.
You can also take the $795 in cash instead of a kayak tour.
Should the winner expect a nice tax hit for value of prizes?
There won’t be a 1099 reported, but you should talk to your accountant.
Hi! Can you please confirm which cabins are still available in case I win I’ll definitely need to upgrade. Thanks!
As of yesterday there was the ability to upgrade to a superior cabin and superior plus cabin.

no “private consult with Dan” like last raffle?
No, but I will have a seminar on board with a Q&A session.
will you assist the winner with booking points flights to Ushuaia?
Yes.
If the cruise is otherwise sold out, will the winner be able to get a ticket for a companion or would they old be able to pay a single supplement for an upgraded room?

Will support Chabad with pleasure. Winning would just be the icing on the cake.
I bought a ticket yesterday. I remember from the first raffle everyone had assigned ticket numbers..
How are they drawing it this time?
dude, you have hava amina that there would be dishonesty here? if god wants you to win youll win if not not. you shouldn’t even think for a second that there would be a favorite favored to win everyone has the same odds. if you follow dan for the past few months you would realize that
I don’t think there will be dishonesty whatsoever. If I lose I’ll be more than happy for the person who won plus I’ll have donated to a good cause…
I was simply asking how they are going to draw it out?
No big deal
still a chisaron in emunah not that im the one to give mussar i also have chisaron in emunah
I was simply asking how they were going to make the raffle drawing..
Everything is good. Ty
Not every comment deserves a reply. Nothing wrong work your question…
It did seem a little weird what happened this time, especially with the 635/710 double pick. People should have been assigned a ticket number.
My understanding is that everyone was assigned a number and they clicked the generate button twice.
As Baruch had ticket numbers 619 through 738 it made no difference anyway.
But that is one of the reasons I did physical tickets for the first raffle for Chabad in Cleveland 🙂
Mazel tov Baruch Zucker on winning the raffle
I’m delighted for Baruch Z who won, but a bit sad I didn’t win 🙁 ctiva vchatima tova
Wow!
That was strange.
Definitely big open hashgacha pratis there.
Dan, please help!
I keep getting ads and dansdeals signup notifications all over the page. They block all the deals and posts and I cant seem to be able to get rid of them. Whats the problem? any way to fix?
i entered both raffles and while it probably sounds nuts one of the attractions for me was being able to go to dans seminars .I feel i have so much i could learn from him and it would have helped me save a lot.
Any possibility of making a seminar somewhere in the tri-state area (where most of the raffle tickets were sold)and inviting all those that spent 360 and above on the raffles?
