Is the value of the pakcage taxable?
Speak to your accountant, but As the cost to enter is less than 300 times of the prize cost, there won’t be a 1099.
All raffle winnings are taxable. The organization may not issue you a W2G based on federal withholding requirements, but you are required by law to pay the taxes regardless of whether taxes were withheld or not. This could mean if you live in NYC and are in the top Federal tax bracket you could be paying as much as 50% of your winnings come April 15th.
