Air France Flying Blue Award Search (Login required to search for award flights)

Flying Blue is the joint program of SkyTeam member Air France and KLM. They consider Tel Aviv to be part of Europe which can make for some decent deals.

-You can transfer AMEX, Chase, or Citi points to Flying Blue at a 1K:1K ratio or Starpoints to Flying Blue at a 20K:25K ratio.
You can view credit card offers by clicking on the AMEX tabs or “Other Credit Cards” tab on top of the DansDeals banner to view links for card offers. You can click on the link that says “View all card offers by issuing bank” and scroll down to view all card offers from the bank of your choice.

-Flying Blue charges fuel surcharges on their own flights but not on Delta flights. However availability is significantly better on their own flights than on Delta flights. When there is Delta availability though it’s significantly cheaper to book the Delta flights with Flying Blue miles than with Delta Skypesos.

-They normally charge 25K miles each way in coach to Israel but they run rotating monthly promo awards throughout the year that are valid for select cities.

-Promo awards are only valid on Air France or KLM.

-Travel is valid in either direction and is valid for one-way or round-trip travel.

-You need to book the current promo awards by 9/30.

-Promo awards are nonrefundable and non-changeable.

-Promo awards require Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles. You can’t use Delta miles for these awards and you can’t transfer Delta miles to Flying Blue.

-With the current offer you can fly in November in either direction between Houston, Miami, or San Francisco, and Israel, Europe, or Russia for 18,750 miles each way in coach.

-You can fly in December in either direction between Chicago or Detroit and Israel, Europe, or Russia for 46,875 miles each way in business class.

-You can fly in November or December in either direction between Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, or Vancouver and Israel, Europe, or Russia for 46,875 miles each way in business class.

-Availability is wide open and you can view screenshots of the award calendars with the one-way fares with fuel surcharges after the jump:

Is there anyway to book with an unborn child?

Agoldsc1

@theberk, I’m not a pro, but I think that you can make a booking now, and then call once the child is beshah tova born, and add the baby to the reservation then.

Dan

Assuming you’re trying to book a seat for the baby, just use first name “Infant” with your last name and correct it later.

If you don’t want a seat you can add the baby later.

@theberk- I found a newborn baby can’t fly…

eddie

If I was to fly from NY, I saw the mileage rate would be 25,000 miles each way plus $144 is that a good rate?

Theberk, I don’t think so

Dan

@chinagel:
Read the post.

From NY

Fly to one of the cities on special. And fly from there. Yes, it means 2 stopovers. But for the business class deal, it’s most definitely worth it.

Mikey

Last year when they had a 12.5k mileage promo I flew Air France to Israel. They are a first class airline. The kosher food served out of Paris is fresh, never frozen.

Rochel

Does flying blue ever have a promotion like this in August, or should I just be happy with their 25,000 each way? Does it pay to wait? Also, how can you fly Delta on flying blue? Do you call a rep. at flying blue, because I don’t see any option online.

Rochel

Just to clarify, I mean 25,000 to Israel

shay peleg

It is not showing me any dates open with miles… is that normal? From israel

shay peleg

I mean to the EU from israel
