What is Dell’s history for honoring price mistakes?

Hey Dan, this is my first time with Dell and gift card. Like No Confirmation above, I got a confirmation email of the order, but the email didn’t have anything about a gift card. I see where you wrote that gift card ships separately but should the email confirmation say anything about the gift card.

Btw for all of you who don’t see the gift card in the email, from my experience, all the gift card deals from various websites, you usually don’t see the gift card, or promotion in the confirmation email, you just have to wait and see.
But the smart thing to do is, always make a screenshot of your order, before hitting submit…

Had my order show up as “changed” and customer service chat indicated it was cancelled. They advised to call the Order Modification department to get it reinstated. I called, appeared to be successful (got a new order number at same price). We’ll see if this one works.

They are definitely covered by the rules. they have no legal obligation to honor the mistake.

Made a bunch of orders. Received one of the monitors shipped today.

Don’t know if I will get the $75 gift promo, but I got them to reissue the order today and the monitor was shipped tonight.

@Nic: @Joe: I called the modification team posted earlier. They said they won’t reinstate bc even if they do it will be cancelled again automatically… So I told them, you reinstate it and I’ll worry about it if it gets cancelled again. The guy said ok and reinstated it.
It was shipped.
