Sam’s Club Store Locator Linky
Sam’s Club will give you a $20 gift card if you sign up for a membership by August 1st.
They have 3 different membership types.
The standard membership is $40, the business membership is $35, and if you have a student ID there is a $25 collegiate membership (after receiving a $15 gift card upon signup and renewal.)
According to my local store you can get the $20 gift card on any membership type, so the price for signing up will be just $20 for a standard membership, $15 for a business membership, and $5 for a collegiate membership, after gift cards!

Stick with Costco. They pay their employees almost twice as much as Sam’s and provide benefits.

Sams in Baltimore charged me $40 and $20 gift card for the collegiate membership. I tried to argue and they wouldn’t do it.
do renewals count??? local store says no to gift card with renewal

you can always cancel your membership for a refund, then just sign up again, and you’ll receive the gift card…
@Dovid: Their policy is: They are giving a “choice” of GC for the college membership, so it end up costing $20. No double dipping on this one.

My local Sams said they would allow the double dip, so YMMV.

thanks!! when we went to sign up they had a promotion for the sams club credit card, if you spend over 100 you get 40 off, we ended up saving $60 on our first checkout!!! amazing or what?
