For those that are gluttons for punishment, Spirit has LGA-FLL for about $50 each way ($32 if you buy at an airport counter). In fact, they just had $33 tickets a day or 2 ago, which I bought for about $15 at the airport. (Spent 90 minutes roundtrip driving and $4 parking; paid off for 4 tickets, IMHO)

Hi dan. Im a huge fan of your website! my wife and I want to go away for yeshiva break weekend (jan28-31) but don’t really know where to go. We are not big travelers although weve done the Miami thing already. any ideas? advice? we would like somewhere where kosher food is available and possible a shul. Thanks for everything!
@Liam Knuj: If you know about all the fees it’s not that bad. Heck if you pay with a Saphirre Preffered or even a Freedom card you get free trip delay insurance.
@Liam Knuj: To save money by going to the airport where exactly do you go to in the airport? Just a regular Spirit check in counter (the place where you go to check bags if you were flying) ?

@armon: I drove from Boro Park to LGA & parked by Terminal B. Spirit is on the right side of building (next to Southwest). Went up escalator, walked 30 seconds to the right, walked up to empty counter, bought tickets. I was back in my car in less than 10 minutes, so parking was only $4.00. Roundtrip from BP was 95 minutes.
Warning: Spirit CS says counter is open until 10:30. NOT TRUE. They close soon after final flight of the day (around 9:00-9:15). I learned that the hard way. Silver lining: Price dropped about $25 per ticket on my second trip to LGA.
