CO has in the past year audited reses using this type of a code,when they found the person was using it w/o properly being able to they simply CXed the discount and charged Full Fare for that persons tkt

usually these codes are good to 1 specific city during a convention or something, so if its used to go to that city during that period of time specified you wont gte caught but if it gave U a discount say to hawaii, CO will most likely catch it on an audit

does it work for domestic and international?
and do you still earn miles?

Just used it for 3 tkts to Israel. It took the code and it says I will get the miles upon completion of the trip. Knocked $78 off each ticket.

the code will work. However, since this should only be used by “Independent Petroleum Association of America” anyone else using it risks being denied boarding.

How likely is it that they will check this during boarding? Should I risk it or cancel the tickets and rebook without the code?

Just used the tickets purchased with the code. No problem boarding. Confirmation says miles will be given.
