The Panasonic DMC-FZ300K is no longer available at $399. It is a great camera, I have owned 2 previous models. But at $599, I feel this camera is over priced. Panasonic does offer a similar 20mp camera for $749, which I feel is way over priced for a SLR like camera. But at least the DMC-FZ1000 has 1 inch sensor which this camera doesn’t have. $400 for very competent point and shoot is fair, $600 is not. There is a lot of debate in the photography world as to whether or not these cameras really have Leica lenses. It is a fair question, as I have quite a few pics that have unusual light aberrations.
