online order of a $20 gc did not work. It was coded as “SAMSCLUB.COM ONLINE PHOTO” on AX which is excluded in terms.
Offer excludes phone orders, Sam’s Club Pickup program orders that are paid for in Club, Sam’s Club online photo purchases, Sam’s Club prescription drug purchases, Sam’s Club travel offers, Sam’s Club Payroll Services, Samsclubauto.com, Samsclubstationery.com, Samsclubchecks.com, Samsclubcontacts.com.

It looks to me it has to be an item. Someone please correct me.

I’m pondering the calculus of the Smart and Final offer for those of us who don’t live “out west”. If I have 10 cards, and each gives me a $25 credit x 3, that’s $750 credit (for purchasing $1500 of groceries/food). I could use Avios or similar to fly to CA for ~$200 Return. I am fortunate to have family out there, so they could use the groceries/supplies. Anyone else thinking about this? (I don’t get a HT for this, do I Dan?) Shabbat Shalom.

I was about to order visa gift card for $105.38 – so net woyld be $85.38 cost for $100 gift card and do that 15 times !!!

Also seeing Sam’s Club gift cards registering on the AMEX pending transactions as Samsclub.com Photo Online. Of course, I didn’t buy anything photo related, so I will fight this with AMEX if it is an issue. I did not get any confirmation emails. Although I don’t expect any problems with my AMEX accounts, I have an AMEX account with another bank which I think will possibly be a fight if the credit doesn’t come through automatically (not sure how you can call up AMEX and discuss with them about another bank’s AMEX.)

Added 19 cards now I just need to see if it works on gift cards…

Does this work for Bluebird, Target Prepaid Redcard, Serve, Amex cards issued by Citi, PenFed, USAA, etc.?

I ordered a starbucks gift card and it showed as online photo order as said previously. So cancelled order and ordered baby wipes, it also shows as online photo order. I am not a SAms member. I am wondering if EVERY order for non members shows up as online photo order? Not sure what to do to get the credit…

I had my Serve card linked to Twitter. I tweeted and got the notification. I then added an additional cardholder to Twitter. I tweeted and got it again. Now when I try to add a different card I receive the following message: Unfortunately, the system is having trouble connecting your accounts at this time. Please submit your inquiry to Customer Service or tweet @AskAmex for assistance.

Update: cleared cache, closed browser tabs and reopened. Works just fine now.

I synced a card with Twitter a year ago. Since then, I got an updated card (-same account, just updated expiration date).

Do I need to unsync/re-sync the updated card?

Is anyone else being charged 10% for being a non-member?

I’ve been loading this offer onto all my AMEX cards (by now, I would think everyone who had an AMEX card would have LOTS of companion cards!). I guess we’ll see how it goes. My initial thought was to buy gift cards, but we’ll have to see if that actually “works.”

BTW, if one winds up needing a Sam’s Club membership, it’s a shame because there was a cheap Groupon deal on one a couple days ago, but I think it expired. Perhaps something else will come up. I think they’re giving us many months to use our credits.

I am a member and I purchased an SD card and then a separate order of socks and both came up on amex as “online photo” .. Seems like everything on samsclub.com is categorized as “online photo.” Either samsclub is trying to get away with not actually paying out any offers or there’s some link between socks and photos that im not aware of… think it’s time for some group complaining…

To become a member it costs $45
So unless you have more 23 cards or more its cheaper to pay the 10% non members fee…

I bought two soccer balls and it also showed up as Sams “photo” so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Yes, you get charged the extra 10% if you arent a member, which is okay with me but I am concerned about it showing as a photo order no matter what I order. Will watch to see if anyone has success in getting the credit automatically.

@Crunch: No, you never gave them the expiration date to begin with. On the other hand, if your account number changed (for example, because of fraud or loss), you would need to sync it again.

Some packages of diapers and wipes are just under $20 and have free shipping. With tax and/or the 10% non-member fee, your order will be just a little over $20.

I did a vanilla Visa for $50 + VV fee +10% fee = $60.43

SamsClub lets you split the charge on max 2 cards so each card around $30 each.

By tomorrow If/When I get back $40 then net $30 profit and I will repeat 9 more times 🙂

And then walk in to Family Dollar with the 10 card to load to serve.

BTW just finished loading Serve with My MasterCard that was already linked in there $1,500 no problem !!!!!!!!!!!!

I just enrolled my Bluebird and all the extra cards and I got the confirmation tweets for what it’s worth.
The fine print seems to suggest that as long as the purchase is made online it should be good even if you pick up in store and it’s not coded photo.

@ Etty – Yes. Max of 2 per order. Add & save them to Sam’s Club account account, then click 2 of the boxes to left of listed cards. It will then ask you how much to allocate to each. So you enter $20 for 1 & $30 for the next.

Being that yesterday, Sam’s club took down all their gift cards from their website. Today, they’ve reposted all the gift cards from 50 & above……no more 20s or 40s 😀 Spending $10 for a $50 GC still not a bad deal.

since you purchase a samsclub gift card qith a samsclub gift card, the best idea is to buy 1 $50 gift card with 2 credit cards & wait for the gift card to arrive . Then you can use that $50 gift card to pay the $10 for the next 5 Gift card orders !
So at the end you pay only 1 time $10 from out of pocket !!

I have 130 cards between wife n kids and extra users etc. Used the deal for 120 – 85 $20 gift cards and the rest merchandise. Got loads of yard furniture electronics and home stuff totally free. Last 10 cards I only tried to do last minute and the limit was already reached. Cleaned up huge on this deal…!

I registered like thirty cards and received an email for every card that was registered that the card is now connected. When buying at sams club and after using about 10 cards I received one email stating that I used the offer and I should look out for a credit statement of $20. Does this mean I will not receive the credit statement on all the other 9 cards I used? When speaking to amex they seem to be a little unsure about this and then they say that the offer is not for additional cardholders. I would like to know whether I’ll be getting the credit on the other cards before I use them. Please enlighten.
