Hey Dan – Is there a way to reach starwood platinum through credit card spend? I stay at hotels for 5-10 nights a year and have reached gold through the 30K spend requirement. I spent over 300K on my starwood card every year.

But if you have top-tier status in any other program you can get it matched to SPG Platinum.
What are the ways you can get Platinum? Please go thru them…
which programs are compareable that SPG will offer a match? Can you reach any of these statuses vis spend?
@sean: Technically, Hyatt’s annual “Faster Free Night” or “Next Big Thing” are good ways to “buy up to status (and rack up valuable free nights in the process.)
