This one seems better as it comes with windows 8.1 Although you can upgrade windows 8 to 8.1, it is extremely odd that a 4th generation processor will come with windows 8. If it had a 3rd generation that would make sense but not for a 4th gen. I would definitely recommend this one over the last one. (Comp. tech)

the other one was touchscreen, this one isnt.
plus one was 12gb ram, this one is 8gb max
OS is a simple upgrade.
touchscreen may sound like a gimmick initially, but one gets used to very fast especially when travelling and not having proper desk.

@ds The ram is definitely an advantage though 8gb is more than enough for home use for most. Touchscreen is a nice cute idea but irrelevant when discussing the internal specs. OS is a simple upgrade however it is VERY VERY weird for a 4th gen not to have 8.1. Let me know if i am wrong but it’s def a red flag by me.
Any suggestions on a Windows 7 laptop. Looking for something reasonably priced, prefer not refurbished.
