How do you get the cheapest pods?
I did some research into this model a couple months ago. There seems to be a lot of complaints about the temperature of the coffee, many customers claiming it comes out warm and not hot. The general consensus is that it is better to purchase an espresso machine (like the Pixie etc..), and then froth the milk separately, as is done in coffee shops.

If you warm the milk beforehand it comes out scalding, but even with cold milk it’s hot.

The silver one looks diff then the others is it an older edition

Almost all the sub-five-star reviews on Amazon claim that the coffee is not hot enough. Are these users all fanatics? Do they have defective units?
@Anonymous: I absolutely love this machine. I got mine at BBB for only $20 more after the %20 off coupon. The coffee temp is perfect. Some people must like their coffee scalding hot, thus the complaint.
When i tried to register for the $100 , Wal-Mart isnt an option so i did other but i still got stuck … any advice?
@anonymous: Do Catalog. When you upload your receipt they will figure it out. I bought at Bed Bath & Beyond and my store was not an option, I did Catalog. I got my credit a couple of hours later.
I bought the same idea for just 100 bucks, a third the price of this expensive lattissima.
I bought the ‘Starbucks verismo 580’ for $60, and than an ‘Secura Milk Frother’ for $40, (and the Verismo can make either, espresso and regular coffee).

It’s true, the coffee is not that hot. It’s “very warm” but not HOT.
