Hyatt has announced that all guests will get free in-room internet effective 02/01/15.
This applies for bookings across all channels and doesn’t require that you belong to their loyalty program. That means even a priceline customer who doesn’t belong to Hyatt Gold Passport will get free internet.
Hyatt elites will get free premium internet where available.
-Last week Starwood announced free in-room internet effective 02/01/15, but that only applies to loyalty members who book their stays on SPG.com.
-In October Marriott announced free in-room internet effective 01/15/15, that only applies to loyalty members who book their stays on Marriott.com, over the phone with Marriott, or directly with the hotel.
–IHG and Fairmont already give free internet to all loyalty members, regardless of booking method.
–Hilton only offers free in-room internet to gold or diamond elites, though I’d have to imagine that will change in the coming days.

How do I become a IHG loyalty member so I can get free internet?
I’d start with http://www.ihg.com
@Dan: Dan, you’re AWESOME. It worked! All I had to do was go to http://www.ihg.com
Where/how did you learn that trick?
Honestly it’s a ripoff that the hotels have been charging for in-room internet as an ‘add on’ in today’s day and age. Of course the only reason they’re doing it now is that more and more people just rely on their data plans and don’t pay for the hotel’s anyway.
