Update: If you got an email from Gap then you didn’t signup from Banana Republc as you were supposed to. The email should come from Banana Republic.
—————————————————————-
For years I’ve been posting about stackable savings at Banana Republic, Gap, and Old Navy.
Old Navy gives 15% off for subscribing for their spam and Gap and Banana give 25% off.
Occasionally you can use those codes on top of other codes, resulting in effective discounts of up to 70% off.
Gap and Old Navy codes haven’t been stackable since May, but Banana Republic codes have been stackable several since then and I always post when they are stackable.
Last week I posted that the stackable codes were working at Banana Republic.
What I didn’t realize was that Banana Republic had stopped giving out 25% coupons for signing up for their email spam!
While people who had codes in the past were able to take advantage of the stackable savings, people who didn’t already signup for spam were out of luck.
However an eagle-eyed commenter points out that the Banana Republic mobile site is still giving out 25% off coupons via this link.
If you already subscribe you can use another email address or just add a +1, +2, +3 after your Gmail address. If your address is banana@gmail.com then banana+1@gmail.com, banana+2@gmail.com, banana+3@gmail.com, banana+4@gmail.com, etc will all work and be sent to your regular banana@gmail.com address.
The codes are only valid once, but they never seem to expire despite the stated expiration date, so stock up while you can and I’ll post when you can use them for maximum savings.
Throughout this year Banana has also sent out emails with the subject “waiting to wow you” that have worked for 40% off stackable on top of other codes whenever the 25% off welcome codes are stackable, so keep your eyes peeled for those. Even if you got one a long time ago, those don’t expire either!

got a bunch thanks-but it says expires 1/03/15
wow that was posted fast. Great Find!
@goodone:
Expiration on these and on the 40% wow coupons has never been enforced.
Tried this two weeks ago and got the same email, without the 25% off.
@mileagejunkie:
Well, I just got 10 emails with the 25% off codes.
Does it still Stack with anything now?
check out 10minutemail.com, give you an email address for 10 minutes then goes away, perfect for this.
Dan, thanks for the “eagle eye†shoutout. I realize by posting this I run the danger of having these codes more likely to be unstackable if they find out that people have gotten their hands back on them but I jsut feel I have benefited so much from your BR posts in the past that it’s only fair to pay it forward!
Any idea when this will end
@Dan:
Me too! Thanks, you are awesome
Thanks alot!
Just did 10 of them!
10minutemail.net
lets you keep refreshing and getting new email addresses.
Im up to 20
Great, in for 60 coupons!
I don’t understand how this works….I can make 10 different emails and all the 25% offs will go to my one email? how does that work? Please explain
the email code I receive states gap. Does it work for either gap or banana?
@Mark: Nevermind. it shows Excluded at gap.
@Dan:
It might start being enforced now that they see 1,000,000 sign ups today alone! 🙂
What do you guys think about selling these codes on ebay, say for $4-5 each…. would that be a nice startup?
If your email says Gap then you signed up for the wrong code.
Your email should say that it’s from Banana Republic.
is this instant or takes time?
@dave:
Instant.
@jim: Jim, please dont be so audacious as to do something like that. The guy who alerted Dan to this flaw could easily have not odne so and made tons of money himself doing what your suggesting. jsut use it for your own benefit. plus itmay be illegal
can this be stacked with coupons that people sell on ebay?
not getting any email with coupon
@Anonymous: Then you’ll lose the email with the coupons or have to sitthere forwarding them. Just use a gmail with the pluses as Dan suggests…
@Dan: If you click that link from a mobile device than it goes to gap
thanx! just got 15
also got 25% off gap
Your the best Dan!! Snagged a dozen or so.
good find. I saw 10minuteemail.com as a resource, but unroll.me works great for managing all of these emails in one place all. I get a ton of spam all in one email everyday instead of 100’s.
el, give it a few minutes. Mine took maybe 10 minutes. Also, the email comes from Gap.
All you guys getting emails from Gap, you’re not signing up for the right email!
Those won’t save you anything at Banana.
Is it not true when BR says in this email “Cannot be combined with other offers or discounts”? They CAN be stacked?
@Stacking:
[Sigh]
Dan, it doesn’t expire?
25% off Purchase: Offer valid now through 01/03/2015
Wait dan why are you saying sigh? Does this mean the deal is too good to be true and it isn’t going to stack?
@jim:
@Greenich:
All I do all day long is answer comments from people who can’t take the time to read what I already wrote…
In for 30 – thanks!
Can i stack two 25% off coupons together?
@david:
No.
I don’t even understand why Dan responds to some of these comments anymore!!!
30 for me
Once I receive the code can I unsubscribe from their spam?
cool! signed up for 15! Can’t wait for next big BR sale!
@yudi:
Yes, but then you get a Wow 40% coupon.
@Dan: DAn, maybe im just an anomall but it seems like you’re hyping up the prevalence of these waiting to wow codes. I have multiple email addresses signed up and I only once got a waiting to wow code and only on one account.
@grussman +1
I’ve got 11 in my inbox…
Iv gotten around 12 wow codes with 2 email addresses
Are people still getting these 25% emails? I tried to do another batch of signups but still haven’t gotten any emails.
@Dan Ilast weeks deal with the stackable 25% did not work for me. The canceled my order!!
Anyone try the visa check out for an additional $20 off in the form of a GAP giftcard?
@Dan: Can you hypothesis why the gross discrepancy (11 in one email address!!!)? Would have thought those wow emails are automated and equally distributed. Any adivce to increase the wows would be much appreciated. Maybe it requires not using the 25% signup discount as they are trying to lure those in who havent used the smaller discount yet?
25% email code DOES NOT stack on other BR coupons online.
The promotion you just applied conflicted with one already applied to your order. We gave you the one with the better discount.
do you have to unsubscribe from there spam in order to receive the wow code after wards?
I’ve sign up at least 20 times in the past never received one any insight ?
@Anonymous:
Never happened to me, but it seems that happens occasionally.
@Chad:
Yes.
@crendo:
Sounds like you answered your own question…
@jim:
Did you bother reading the post?
@wow code:
Huh???
@wow code:
Still works for me.
Check all your Gmail folders.
@Dan
Dead? When do these actually expire, if ever?
Will Dan still post when the coupons are stackable?
Not dead, my bad.
Thank you so much, Dan! Question- you mentioned that the coupons are at times stackable; is it a guessing game or when will we know when the coupons are stackable? I’m assuming I just put in multiple codes at checkout. Thanks again! I got plenty!
