Yes they are compatible, I’ve had them for quite a while they work together.

I just ordered them and then re-looked at the reviews on Amazon and realized that the reviews are not real reviews – written by friends of store that is selling them, most reviewers didn’t actually buy them and haven’t left reviews on anything else. I am really annoyed I ordered them. I hope they are good.

I ordered them and now I regret it. I took another look at the reviews on Amazon and realized they were not real reviews – people who left the reviews not verified buyers and only reviewed these items. Am really annoyed. Money is tight and I my kids really wanted magna tiles so I thought this would be a great alternative. I hope they are good! Anyone who genuinely knows about these?

Leah- I wouldn’t worry about it. Try them out, you can return to Amazon if there is a problem for quite a while. Alternatively, if your order was with an amex or if not you can change order to use amex you should have return protection just in case you are worried about amazon for 90 days…. if I am mistaken please have someone more knowledgable correct me but in the past amazon has been good to me about returns for items that didnt work well.

Leah – they had a sale in September on a set that is not on sale today that I ordered. In comparison to the magnatiles of the 70’s and 80’s, these are not as strong. I cannot compare them to today’s magnatiles as I don’t have them and don’t know anyone who does.

But, before you dispair, they are still pretty decently strong on their own (just not as strong). More importantly, my kids (male and female alike) love them and play with them constantly. The reason I am not buying today is the pieces. The main pieces to build with are the 3 x 3 squares. My set comes with 42 of them and it is not enough. The 120 piece set above is the only one that comes with 3 x 3 and only 32 of them.

So in sum, this brand is good, kids love them and they are Ok strong, just not as good as the toys from the 70’s and 80’s. I just don’t particularly like this deal. If you live in Brooklyn, over the next 3 weeks you’ll probably see just as good deals anyway.

@Leah: I bought them & they’re compatible. & I also left a review on amazon that I was very happy with it.

My sis in law owns tiles from all four companies (magna tiles, playmags, stik n stak, and magformers) she said the only ones worth getting are magna tiles and stik n stak. Playmags aren’t as sturdy and mag formers are too strong, so it’s hard for the little guys to pay with.
