Any Desktop deals?
how about deals for under 15.6
I feel like all of the 15.6 inch laptops have been on sale. All of the smaller laptops either have bad specs or cost 700-1000.
[I mean to ask a question- not sure if this is coming up as a reply]
You mention that the HP has Windows 7. The specs say Window 7 Professional with a license for Windows 8.1. The picture shows a Window 8 (or 8.1) screen. Can we be sure that this really is Windows 7? Newegg does not take returns.
@RS:
It’s installed with Windows 7 and you’ll have the ability to switch to 8 if you want with the included license.
Dell has Desktop and Laptop sales as well. $244.99 Inspiron 15 Non-touch Cyber Monday deals.
@Sam:
Junk processor.
Core i5 Touch for $584 with 1080 hd with coupon code ENVY15t20OFF
looking for a smaller (lighter) laptop as well
When buying via eBay it only allows PayPal. Does that mean I cannot get the extra year of warranty from amex?

@Steven:
Expensive for i5.
@abraham:
You still get warranty coverage.
@Mendel:
Junk.
It’s not junk, it’s the equivalent of a Chromebook, but with full Windows 8.1. Don’t just look at the specs, look at the size, the battery life, the include one year of office 365. You’d be much better of traveling with one of these, over any of the above. And it got great reviews (for it’s category)
I tried using the code cmpaypal30 doesn’t work anymore. Any body have any other codes
If you live in the Northeast, you can get the Acer laptop from newegg, through Newegg’s site directly and get it sooner than it would’ve ships from Memphis, given the fact That Newegg has a warehouse in Edison NJ
@Dan:
Which of the two i7 would you go for?
Thanks!
It seems that the main advantage of the HP is the Win 7 Pro. Am I correct?
FYI the DELL
Intel Core i7-4510U 2.0GHz (with Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz)

how does it compare to the other i5s that you posted?
@ @nosson
both the the dell and the HP have the same processor. they seem very similar.
the dell is no longer available
Question: ebay is selling $100 GCs for $90. can I buy 5 GCs and use them to buy the HP i7 laptop (above) for $450
will this work?
@yk: According to Dan, “Bad idea” I’ve heard from others as well – 1 per customer means if you setup 5 accounts and get caught, you will be banned.
Their official return policy is no returns, however they state in the description that they do take returns.
I did it. I used 5 GCs and I got the hp for 450 tax and shipping included
Thanx Dan for your work
@Mendel:
WSJ agrees with Mendel:http://m.wsj.com/articles/hp-stream-11-review-a-200-windows-laptop-thats-worth-the-price-1417546863?mobile=y
@RF:
No idea what article you read, but it confirms exactly what I said, that’s it’s a toy and mostly junk.
An extra $80 and you get a real computer with a real processor that can open more than a few tabs.
