ordered directly from GNC still haven’t received a cancelation of my 2 orders.

Let’s be clear here. While it’s true that the 50+ people are greedy, do you think ordering one or two is any more ethical?let me answer that rhetorical question for you. It’s not. GNC was going to cancel these orders regardless, it’s in their terms of service. Do you think they care whether one guy gets 50 or 50 people get one? No, they don’t. And they would have figured it out with or without 50+ orders in their system. So before you start lobing stones at Mr. 50, take a look at yourself whether you are as much a part of the problem as they are.

I made 2 orders, each for 1. Got confirmation emails for both. Got an email a few hours later saying they were out of stock but will be shipped when they are back. Curious to see if it will be filled.

Haters are all jealous they missed out. You can’t always get every deal so stop deciding what is and what isn’t ethical.

My 15x via the app got cancelled but the regular order is still alive.

I tried to order one and it did not appear to go through, i did not get any email confirmation, but later today i noticed a pending charge from gnc in the amount of the fitbit. Any suggestions?

I called gnc they are aware of the situation and unfortunately will cancel all orders as it was a mistake not a great deal as we all thought.

I just spoke with customer service and she said they are honoring orders for reasonable quantities. I had ordered 2. She said some people were ordering 20 or more and that those orders were not going to be honored. Fingers crossed!

I just checked my order status on gnc.com and when I typed in my order number and zip code on the order tracking page, it forwarded to an empty shopping cart. I assume they were cancelled. The charges on my credit card statement are showing as pending.

The backorder info says your CC will not be charged until item is shipped. Well I just got a pending transaction from GNC for $19.98. No confirmation email yet. Fingers crossed.

Not from gnc (from a walmart order i made today) but I am assuming that the same applies.

So the pending charge doesnt mean that it has been shipped. although it may mean that they plan to honor it.

I checked my order status and it says “special order – awaiting inventory” previously it had said “backordered”

who knows if that change actually means anything or not, but it gives me hope.

Has anyone actually heard from GNC that their order is being honored or cancelled? 2 business days is more than enough time for them to announce their decision but I haven’t heard from them and I can’t view my order status.

I just got an email from GNC saying my item is on back order and will automatically be cancelled if not filled within 30 days.
To me, it means that GNC will simply choose not to restock fit bit until 31 days form now and just cancel all of them. But I still have my fingers crossed.

Since Sunday I still haven’t received anything from GNC except that it was on back order.

GNC killed the item from their website. Did a search for “fitbit” and no results are found.

At this point, I’m pretty confident that they aren’t fulfilling any of these.

I think they plan on doing what @nicole said. Just waiting for the 30 days to run out and canceling all the orders. They took it off the website so they can claim that they don’t have it in stock.

A some what novel approach as far as i am aware to not fulfilling the order.

Does anyone know if this is a long standing GNC policy or is it just a policy they invented to get rid of us.

My order has now completely disappeared when I check the status. As if I never ordered it. I understand that they have terms and conditions that allow them to reneg on things, I get it, but I feel like the very least they could do is send an email letting us know they are canceling the order or that thaey are unable to fill it, SOMETHING. Soooo, due to a pricing error my item is out of stock? Are you sure my item isn’t out of stock because you don’t want to fill it??? Lame.

From an email I just received: “Thank you for your recent purchase. We’re very sorry, but due to a pricing error on our website, your item is out of stock and we will not be able to fulfill your order. We will issue a full refund for the price of the product.” In addition they are given a $10 off $50 or more order with free shipping. I’m not surprised, nor am I disappointed. It was a pretty obvious mistake.

Serves me right, as I’ve never even though of buying something from GNC (everything’s overpriced on both brick and mortar and online), and the one time I take a chance, they cancel my order because they don’t want to man up and honor the deal.
