IHG “Into The Nights” Promo Registration Linky
IHG’s current promo has different requirements for everyone, but it can be fairly lucrative. Login via the link above to check out your offer. If you don’t have an IHG account yet you can make one now and still get an offer.
All offers must be completed by 12/31/14.
My offer is:
Complete 3 activities: Earn a free night or 25,000 points.
Complete all 5 activities: Earn another free night or another 25,000 points.
Activities:
-Download the IHG App and book a stay: Earn 500 points
-Stay 3 nights at any of IHG’s hotels: Earn 2,000 points
-Book 2 stays on ihg.com or IHG App: Earn 2,000 points
-Stay 2 Saturdays at any of our IHG hotel brands: Earn 4,000 points
-Stay at 2 Holiday Inn hotels: Earn 2,000 points
So by booking 1 Saturday night at 1 Holiday Inn and another Saturday-Monday stay at another Holiday Inn via the IHG app I can earn 2 free nights+10,500 points (on top of base earn rates) or 60,500 points (on top of base earn rates).
It looks like I can earn those 2 free nights+10,500 points for under $300 in Cleveland.
You need to select your choice of free nights or points by 01/31 or else you will get points by default. The free nights expire 12/31/15. You can use them in any of the 4,700+ IHG hotels, from Bora Bora to the Maldives, from Hong Kong to Paris, from NYC to Tel Aviv.
It’s reminiscent of, but not nearly as lucrative as the good old days from 2009 or 2010, but you gotta take what you can get. Back then I made dozens of stays for my wife and myself at $60 a pop (less a 22% discount for buying GCs from Costco back then) which earned hundreds of thousands of United miles, hundreds of thousands of Hyatt points, and more free Hyatt nights than I knew what to do with, so we traveled the world to burn them off in $1,000/night hotels like Park Hyatts in Sydney, Melbourne, Paris, and Zurich and I even raffled off several of them to DD readers. In 2008 we had a monthlong honeymoon in Hawaii thanks to Hyatt faster free nights.
But enough of going down memory lane, what’s your IHG offer?

Award stays don’t count as bookings/stays, right? How about points + cash?

Neither will count.
Mine is pretty remarkable. I have to complete four out of five to get the two free nights. If I skip the “stay nine nights” then I can complete the other four by booking a SINGLE night, at the bonus + breakfast rate, using the app, then completing the survey and applying for the credit card. I think I can do that for as little as $104, maybe less, and quite possibly sometime when I’ll need a one-night stay anyway.
how long will it take for the points to post to your account, I stayed at a holiday inn a week and a half ago and the points still didn’t post
Pretty sure they’re not capacity controlled, and that they behave exactly like the nights awarded by the CC.
Any examples of what the points can get you, or expensive hotels you can use the free nights on (similar to how you gave us the >$1k park hyatts with the prior promos)?

When opening an account your given the option to post rewards as IHG points or airline miles. If, as in comment # 2, you can get 10,000 miles doesn’t it make sense to choose the miles option since IHG points can be had right now for .57 cents anyway (which is about $143)? Wouldn’t you rather have 10,000 united (for example) miles for that price?

Not sure. Doubt I’ll do both, and shabbos stays will be tough. But the nights would be valuable to us this summer since we hope to be planning a trip.

What Im seeing on DDF is that people are offering “free stays” to people who have cheap rates in their area
For example I’d gladly stay at an 80$ a night hotel thats in my area on wednesday night instead of you – It’s a win-win

It seems I can book a room for one night in Norwalk at the breakfast rate, apply for the cc and get all four + 12k bonus points and 2 free nights. Sounds awesome, but I’m totally clueless – can you point me to where I know what the value of all those points are please? What can I use them for?
