Hyatt points are the most valuable hotel points by a long shot.
I value Hilton and IHG points at about 0.45 cents, and Marriott points at about 0.65 cents each. I’d value Hyatt points at roughly 1.55 cents each, making them by far the most valuable hotel points. Of course, the goal is to redeem for values that exceed those numbers, but if you can redeem around those rates, that’s perfectly fine as well.
Redeeming Hyatt points for free nights at hotels across the globe is how you traditionally get the most value for your points. But, did you know that Hyatt also has a chart for redeeming points for spa or dining charges that provides a decent value towards the high end?
The values improve as you spend more:
- Redeeming 7,500 for $75 of spa and dining charges is a poor value of 1 cent per point
- Redeeming 35,000 points for $500 of spa and dining charges is a decent value of 1.43 cents per point
- Redeeming 65,000 points for $1,000 of spa and dining charges is a good value of 1.54 cents per point.
For a short period of time last year, Hyatt.com had this award chart with an option to redeem 60,000 points for $1,000 of credit, but the chart was apparently posted in error and the Hyatt site no longer displays this chart:
If you do have $1,000 in spa and dining charges, there’s certainly no shame in redeeming 65K points to cover those charges.
You can search for participating Hyatt locations here.

Park Hyatt Buenos Aires and Park Hyatt Mendoza can source kosher food as well (food is from WeDo kosher).
Nice, how is it?
Love the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, many good memories there.
Grand hyatt baha Mar doesn’t allow for dining as many times as I asked by cinko I was always told they don’t do it. Any other dp on this?
This has nothing to do with Cinko.
You bill the charges to your room and you settle with points at the front desk when you checkout.
The one thing to keep in mind at bahamar is that certain places are actuslly owned by Sls and not Hyatt, even if you bill to your room.
The points would work for Cinko and Knosh but some bars might be excluded. For example the entire water park is sls.
Dan,
You once posted how to get better cash rates via dance deals code, I cannot find that article, can you send a link?

Just used this last week at Baha Mar with no issues. Great redemption and helps keep vacation out of pocket expenditures near zero.
Awesome!
Do you need to redeem points for dining in advance? Or can this be done at checkout so you don’t have to guess your spend?
At checkout.
I’m currently at the Hyatt in Aruba and the whole resort has been kashered, so all the restaurants are kosher for yeshiva week
Nice!
What are the dates that everything will be kosher?
Do you have to be staying at the hotel in order to charge it to points?
