Update: You can book SLH hotels with Hyatt points through 5/15. Stays with checkin dates after 5/15 will be honored, but won’t receive Hyatt elite benefits. You will earn 4 points per dollar on SLH stays paid for on the Hyatt card through 8/31.

Hyatt has partnered with SLH Hotels for more than 5 years and greatly expanded Hyatt’s footprint, but that will soon come to an end.
Hilton announced today that they will partner with SLH and you will be able to earn and redeem Hilton points at participating SLH properties in the near future. As with Hyatt, not all SLH hotels will participate in the partnership.
A Hyatt spokesperson shares with DansDeals that,
“In the coming months, we plan to integrate many Mr & Mrs Smith hotels into Hyatt channels, offering our guests and World of Hyatt members more luxury and boutique accommodations in new destinations around the globe. We will share details on this exciting integration shortly. As our business continues to evolve and we strive to offer our guests and members new ways to explore the world, we have mutually made the decision to end our relationship with SLH in the near future. At this time, World of Hyatt members can still book participating SLH Hotels on Hyatt’s booking channels, and nothing changes as of now for existing World of Hyatt member reservations. More information on the end of this relationship will be shared with guests and members in the coming months.”
Hyatt will own the Mr and Mrs Smith Hotel booking platform, though not the hotels. We’ll have to wait and see what that program integration will look like.
If you want to use Hyatt points for SLH Hotels, now is the time to do so. You can always cancel and rebook with Hilton points if there’s a better value that way, but my guess is that it will be a worse value with Hilton points.

They had some pretty good deals, although not getting elite benefits such as upgrades was not the best but still nice. I did notice a bunch of SLH hotels who were bookable after the first few rounds of additions were gone the last year or so.
I got some pretty great redemption’s with them especially since Hyatt has the best redemption values
I have a redemption in Turks and Caicos in November that I hope is honored but if I can use Hilton FNC instead I’d be thrilled
@dan would you know if Aman, One and only, and Rosewood would allow booking with Hyatt points after this? is that how this partnership works?

I had a reservation that I booked with points but it has disappeared from my account, does that make sense?
Also remains to be seen what benefits will be available when booking through Hilton. At least with Hyatt, you got free breakfast with zero status, as long as it was booked through Hyatt. I can’t imagine Hilton will be that generous, but I guess we’ll see.
