From now through 3/12, you can get a 100% bonus when you buy Hilton points.
For example, 5K points are normally $50 and with this sale you’ll get 10K points for that price. 240K points are normally $2,400 and with this sale you’ll get 480K points for that price. That’s just 0.5 cents per point.
Need more than 480K points? Friends and Family can transfer Hilton points to each other for free, so you can buy points from multiple accounts and then transfer them!
You can earn points with Hilton consumer cards or The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card.
That will only make sense to buy if you have a specific redemption in mind or if you need more points to have enough to redeem for a 5 night stay, but I wouldn’t buy points speculatively due to the risk of devaluation, room availability, and hotels being able to leave the Hilton brand.
If you have a Hilton credit card or elite status you get the 5th night free on all award redemptions. You can get Silver status for free here.
Remember that you need to search for various number of nights to find award space at different hotels. Some hotels might have a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 night minimum stay for base rooms to find standard award space. To use the flex calendar, just search for various numbers of nights, click flexible dates, and use points.
When will it make sense to buy points? An overwater villa with a private pool in the Conrad Maldives can cost $1,000-$2,000 after tax, but its bookable for just 120K points. That’s like paying $600/night with points from this deal. If you have a Hilton credit card or elite status and stay for 5 nights you’ll need 96K points/night or just $475/night if you buy points for 0.5 cents each.
5 nights in the Maldives is pretty much the definition of Heaven on Earth. Read more about the Conrad Maldives here.

The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is 120K points/night, compared to paid rates of $1,000-$1,500 per night after taxes. The hotel has a Rolls Royce house car that can take you to the excellent nearby kosher restaurants.

Most Hilton hotels are capped at a cost of 120K points per night for a standard room, but the Waldorf Astoria Maldives costs 150K points/night. If you have a Hilton credit card or elite status and stay for 5 nights you’ll need 120K points/night or from $600/night if you buy points for 0.5 cents each.
That’s an incredible value compared to the paid rates of $2,000-$4,000 after taxes:
The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is 120K points per night as well. It’s Trip Advisor’s top ranked hotel in Cabo and is Travel + Leisure’s World’s top resort in Mexico.
With a 5 night stay you can pay 96K points per night with the 5th night free award that is available to Hilton cardholders and elites.
Even the base rooms come with a private plunge pool. That’s an incredible value compared to the paid rates of $1,500-$3,000 after taxes:
Chabad of Cabo has tourist information on their website. They’re located just 1.2 miles from the Waldorf! Discuss more about Cabo on DDF here.
The Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem charges 95K points per night when they have standard room availability.
If you have a Hilton credit card or elite status and stay for 5 nights you’ll need 76K points/night or $380/night with this deal.
The Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem is one of the finest hotels in Israel.

Breakfast is free on points stays if you have Gold or Diamond status, which you can get just by having a Hilton credit card.
With a breakfast like this, you may not even be hungry for dinner…

What does Dan value each Hilton point?
Interestingly, my account only had a 90% bonus offer for points purchases. This was behind a “Mystery Bonus” button when I went to purchase points
Serious question, is the Maldives safe for Jews?
Yes.
Getting this error. Anyone know what to do?
Sorry, purchasing Points is not available at this time
Same
If I want to stay for 4 nights at WA Cabo, I need to buy 240,000 points? Cost would be $2400?
Cost should be $1,200
if i transfer membership reward points to hilton am i also getting double than usual?
No
I’m only getting 80% bonus
Dan, is there a way to somehow transfer Marriott points to Hilton via an airline? E.g. transfer Marriott points to an airline, and then transfer those airline points to Hilton?
I have free certificates from my credit card- any recommendations for hotels in the Boca
Raton area?
Does any Hilton credit card qualify for the 5th night free or only specific ones? If it is specific ones, can you send links to the card?
Any Hilton card or status, including the link in the post for free status.
I have an upcoming one-night stay at a Hilton in Panama and toggled between the price per night in dollars versus points and it’s not worth it to buy the points – it would actually cost me double to buy the points rather than to pay cash for the room. As Dan wrote, check the prices before you buy.
Prices at Panama hotels are pretty reasonable to begin with
Do these points expire?
Do you get 12 points for using Hilton card on this
Wondering the same.
Does this get 13 points on the card
Hi Dan, could you write (or link to) something about the Hechserim of the food and kosher standard of the kitchen in the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem? Thanks.

Hi Dan- You mentioned Waldorf Beverly Hills has a house car to take you to kosher restaurants nearby. How do we go about booking that? Also, can you recommend top 5 kosher restaurants nearby that are a must go?
Thanks
