American Airlines provided the following statement to DansDeals,
“As a result of the current operating environment, American Airlines has temporarily suspended operations to and from Tel Aviv, Israel (TLV) through Dec. 4 and extended our travel alert providing additional flexibility to customers whose travel plans are impacted by this adjustment. We will continue working closely with our partner airlines to offer assistance to those looking to exit TLV with safety and security remaining our highest priorities.”
The airline operated daily 777 service from JFK to Israel, but the last AA flight to Tel Aviv was on Friday. The next available flight to purchase is on December 5th.
Delta previously sent this statement to DansDeals,
“As Delta continues monitoring events in the region, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our TLV flights through Oct. 31, 2023. Our hearts are with those who are impacted as our people work to find safe alternatives for customers trying to depart TLV. Notifications to customers about their specific flight will be communicated via the Fly Delta app, and contact information in their reservation; customers can also reach out to Delta Reservations for support. Delta will continue to explore options for customers to safely exit TLV via seats that become available on our partner airlines.”
Delta is not currently selling flights to Tel Aviv on any date.

I wonder if AA will ever return to TLV. This may be their opportunity to exit the market they so ever despised
Agreed
Beat me to it

צרות!!! These airlines cancelling are the least of klal yisroel’s issues right now. May we merit to see the geulah quickly. Hashem help us!
You’d be surprised. This is a war of morall and spirits.
Each time an airline cancels flight for an extended period of time, it tells the world in a big way that Israel is not safe and at risk. This is not true but it makes it harder to fight on the ground as well as on the international political arena.
United rebooked my daughter on a return flight Oct 18th (TLV to ORD via San Francisco). Based on this, I’m guessing we should not be too optimistic that it will go…
I wouldn’t count on that at all.
Secure another option.
Dan – They haven’t cancelled next week’s flights, when do you think they are going to make a decision? I’m reluctant to go if I can’t get back
Dan, do you think BA, and the remaining European cities will suspend service to TLV soon?
I do.
What about emirates?
My guess is that all non-Israeli airlines are going to wind down their services for the short-term. But it’s possible that a couple will stick around.
Had flight booked for early December, think they’ll honor the same flight/class/price for an alternative date? I doubt it!
Have you seen anything posted about Etihad? We have a Sunday flight via Dubai with them (3rd try after TAP and Turkish both got canceled)
Funny. They just called me today about a AA/IB flight for 10/17 that had the IB leg cancelled so they rebooked me on AA145.
Ouch.
united rebooked me on oct 14 is it cancelled now?
I’d assume so.
Hi Dan, I am booked for Sunday flight from ewr to tlv, would united book me to fly through Dubai now that they have a partnership with emirates?
So what happens if you have a flight scheduled for Nov 1st? I guess you get a refund and that’s it? Not complaining, just asking.
You can ask if they can rebook on a partner, but a refund is the most likely option.
United stopped selling next weeks flights even though they didn’t cancel yet. Does that mean a cancellation is coming and if so what are they waiting for?
Most likely, yes.
No benefit to canceling if there’s still a 1% chance they won’t have to.
I have a flight to tlv on united next tuesday I didn’t get any cancellation notice, should I wait and see or change flight?
Try to get them to change it to elal if not just wait to see if it get cancels, if you really need to fly
They should be rescuing people, terrible news from the DOT honestly
Their pilots refuse to fly to Israel.
December 4th??? I guess they don’t want to deal with questions regarding ותן טל ומטר.
There’s is or will be soon ferries from Larnaca, Cyprus
I booked a flight for November, do I have to do something proactive to get a refund or will it refund on my credit card automatically?
I have not received any email from American, anyone can answer my question?
