Is it a problem with kashrut that it’s Pre-seasoned?
Yes
Yes it’s a problem. It needs to be kashered thru libun Check it out on OU’s website here’s the link https://oukosher.org/halacha-yomis/i-bought-a-brand-new-pre-seasoned-cast-iron-skillet-must-this-pan-be-kashered-before-it-may-be-used/#:~:text=%E2%80%9CPre%2Dseasoned%E2%80%9D%20means%20that,fats%20may%20be%20animal%20based.
anyone heard of “pre-seasoned porcelain-enameled steel”
a quick google search didn’t turn up any results
Yes porcelain enameled is how the metal is melted with a combination of two different metal materials. But the pre-Seasoned is where the kashrut problem starts.
