Transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards Points Into Flying Blue Miles And Get A 25% Bonus
Chase executives told me when they launched Ultimate Rewards point transfers to airlines that they decided to focus on strong partners with easy to understand transfer ratios and not on assorted transfer ratios and transfer bonuses.
But times have changed and Chase is back with another Flying Blue transfer bonus.
Chase points normally transfer into Flying Blue miles at a 1K:1K ratio, but until 5/15 you can get 1,250 Flying Blue miles for every 1,000 Chase points.
For example you can fly in coach to Israel for 35K miles or 28K Chase points or business class to Israel for 95K miles or 76K Chase points.
Fuel surcharges do apply, though they are lower than what other European airlines charge.
You can also save an additional 25% for booking award tickets for kids under 12! That means kids can fly in coach to Israel for 26,250 miles or 21K Chase points or business class to Israel for 71,250 miles or 57K Chase points.
Flying Blue offers travel on Virgin Atlantic with lower fuel surcharges than if you book directly with Virgin.
You can get the flexible award calendar by searching for a mileage ticket with an account on airfrance.us just leaving the date blank when searching for an award ticket:
Business class from JFK to Tel Aviv for 95K miles:
You can book a short connection or a full day in Paris:
Flying Blue charges 38K miles (30.4K Chase) to fly nonstop on Delta between Boston and Tel Aviv, 39K (31.2K Chase) between JFK and Tel Aviv, and 35.6K between Atlanta and Tel Aviv.
Flying Blue also has rotating Promo Awards which discounts award tickets from rotating destinations to Europe.
Cancellations or changes cost 50 Euros for regular awards and aren’t allowed for Promo awards.
Flying Blue miles require earning activity every 24 months to keep them active, so transferring miles will also extend their validity.
Will you take advantage of this offer?

I know the Flying Blue redemption page is buggy, but I can’t find a flight to anywhere on any date, I get the “Sorry, there are no flights available for this combination of departure airport, arrival airport and travel dates. Please try again.”
Any way around this?
thanks
do one ways
any difference in cost (taxes, YQ, etc) vs a true round trip?
wow finally can fly to israel in biz class
thanks dan!
problem solved, just re-logged it again!
Is this possible out of LAX??
How many miles/points?
Sure, just search for a mileage ticket on https://airfrance.us for rates and leave the date blank for the flex calendar.
when i leave the date blank i get an error “Please enter a departure date.” Any tips how to circumvent? thx!
Any way to use this to get ELAL airlines tickets?
No
Can i transfer the new ink bonus points?
Sure
If I transfer my points now by when do have to use them to get the 25% bonus and the quoted points 57-76 in business
Don’t transfer points speculatively.
there are also promos showing up but no announcement of them yet.
Which do you see?
Can someone that has freedom card transfer their points if they are only an authorized user in the sapphire preferred or resurve of someone else’s account?
Yes
Can I transfer via chase.com or needs to be over the phone?
Phone.
Is there any way to get flights from miami and how are they of I need to cancel a flight or reschedule.
Yes, just search from Miami.
Cancel flight policy is in the post as well.
Need to fly in June with the family, but Flying Blue showing it at whopping 200+K miles. Any suggestions?
Does it work booking a round trip from TLV or only from JFK?
It doesn’t matter which date I choose, Delta never shows up on flights from Israel.
Try these dates, found via the virgin calendar.

I’m so curious what air travel will look like after Yetziyat America. Before the Final Geulah. And afterwards.
Are any of these direst or only with a stopover in Europe?
This bonus is instant correct ? I feel that should be clear but im just double checking .. chag koshera
Do the bonus points post immediately?
Are there any direct flights from NYC to tlv or only with stopover?
is this one way or round trip?
Same question.
I’m assuming it’s one way, otherwise it would say round trip.
But I think most people would prefer if it clearly said “one way” or “each way”, especially when using vague description of “fly to Israel”, which to us Americans, usually means round trip.
My two cents.
Dan…help me..is there any non stop tlv options fom nyc?…I looked yesterday and I see only Friday night non stop ..these options seem rare..what am I doing wrong
Nothing, availability to israel is rare
Any tips for a lap infant on Flying Blue or LifeMiles? I see good deals but am scared to book because I don’t want to pay a lot of cash on top of the points. Aeroplan flights are too pricey for the same routes. Thank you!
Aeroplan has a similar award chart to lifemiles, so I am not sure why it is more pricey
Booked JFK-BUD with a stop in AMS for 12k MR points
Is there registration needed in order to get the transfer bonus?
No
Where do I find all my options for transferring within the Ultimate Rewards site?
They have flights to Europe (e.g. I booked Budapest) for 15,000 miles (12,000 points now) on a lot of dates. I saved myself about $500 per flight.
Airfrance charged less for the fees on flights to Europe than KLM (they both post the same exact flights at the same miles amount)
Lowest I’m seeing for a round trip ticket in coach comes out to around 74,000 miles, PLUS $272.07 (was searching for July). The lowest I’m seeing for 1-way is 35,000 miles on the flexible award calendar (70K round trip, plus there seems to be a $$ add-on). Am I missing something?
Any non stop jfk to tlv in July?
Yeah. Also I have a bridge to sell you
Can’t find sukkos dates. Anyone know of any award programs that have dates (september 27/28-october 8/9)for reasonable rates?
Dan What’s a good place to use Air France to travel to in Europe that has good mile conversions vs cash ? I know I used to fly jfk to Paris for 15k miles each way
Any other good deals like that to Other major countries in Europe ?
Is there a step by step guide how to make the transfer! Done see any option within ultimate reward site.
If you have a Sapphire Preffered or Reserve, or a Business Preffered card you should see a “Transfer to Travel Partners” option
1. Open an account with the airline you want to transfer to and take note of your account number
2. Open Ultimate rewards website in your chase account
2. Clicking on your points total, will trigger a drop down bar with lots of options
4. Choose transfer to partners
5. Choose your airline and enter your account details
Thank you Zack and Danfan. i guess I need the preferred or reserve for this option to pop up……………
You do and nows the perfect time to open a Preffered card…

Why would one book virgin jfk to tlv (or reverse) with flying blue rather than on virgin site directly. Granted the fees are cheaper with Flying Blue but the points are significantly less using virgin site directly.
Depends on the transfer bonus.
And it depends if it’s peak VS charges 31k plus $250ish. AF with a 25% transfer bonus is 30k points plus $120ish
I don’t see anything decent for my current travel dates, does it pay to take advantage of this offer and just transfer points for the future?
Do you earn MQM’s on air france flights (asking as I have delta status and want to keep earning_
to earn mqm’s on an award ticket it must be booked with skymiles and on a delta plane
I tried to transfer citi cash
But it’s giving me only 800 for 1000 miles
You need Citi Premier for the full value.
1. What do you mean by “AMEX cards with transferable Membership Rewards points to *Avios*”?
2. Is Delta’s Comfort like business class or more like Premium Economy?
3. Delta has Comfort seats for 74k. Is that considered good value?
2.comfort plus is economy+, not business and not premium.
How do I do this with Amex cards?
I understand that the flying blue points expires after 2 years- Is there a way to extend them ?
Is there any way around this, “Cancellations or changes cost 50 Euros for regular awards and aren’t allowed for Promo awards.”
