Etihad is finally bringing their A380s back online. Those planes feature first class apartments that have a seat and a bed, along with a shower to boot.

I enjoyed flying it on my way home from the Maldives in 2017.

There is incredible award availability starting from this August between London and Abu Dhabi, which is the only route that the plane is scheduled to fly for now.

You can book this online with 65K Air Canada Aeroplan miles each way. In this search I checked for 9 award seats, which is the entire first class cabin. Incredibly, you can book out the entire first class cabin on miles! You can view the cabin seat map layout here.

The cash price for a one-way flight in first class from London to Abu Dhabi is over $6,000, making this an incredible award redemption at more than 9 cents per point.

I last booked out an entire first class cabin on miles with my family back in 2014.

Click on details to confirm that it’s an A380:

You can also call or chat with American to book Etihad award tickets. A first class flight between Europe and the Middle East, including Israel, will set you back 62.5K AA miles.

That’s significantly less than what Air Canada charges for an Etihad flight from London to Israel via Abu Dhabi:

You can call American to add on an AA saver first class saver award flight from NYC to London onto the Etihad first class flight from London to the Middle East for 115K miles.

You can confirm AA saver award space by checking for it on the BA site:

You can also add a United business class flight to London onto the Etihad first class flight to Abu Dhabi for 130K Air Canada miles:

Will you take advantage of this award space availability?

oh yah baby the king of the skies is back!!! the taxes are a lot cheaper on AUH-LHR vs LHR-AUH because of the UK departure tax/robbery. most of this award dump is only LHR-AUH but in november i’m seeing many dates with AUH-LHR availability. i’m about to hit up my amex account and make a nice transfer to AC and book this before it’s gone lol

The screenshot shows 90k from NYC to London, why is it 115k

Sorry – i’m not that suave at this game yet so i’m a bit confused & hopefully you can help. If i’d like to take advantage of this but am leaving from NYC, I can book the EY FC cabin for 65K points, and then add on AA FC JFK-LHR for and Additional 115K points? so total trip would be 180K points PP each way? How do I book it so that I do not incur the additional charges? Do i need to book the NYC-LHR portion first. Sorry, i’m totally lost. Someone in the comments also referenced being able to go NYC-Abu Dhabi for 70K (Business- not FC). Is that always available? TIA!

Hard product doesn’t look too luxurious from the pics in the post. Have they updated it since then?

Can one keep 1500 miles from expiring by transferring a small number of miles from Membership Rs, etc.? Thank you.

I think everyone is mixing up the first class and the residence..
