Update: Marriott has extended the bidding deadline on the Malibu Villa from today at 10:59am ET to tomorrow at 3:59pm ET.
I asked for comment on the reason for the extension and was told that, “Yesterday some members had reported issues logging in on the platform. Once we resolved the issue, we decided to extend the deadline for the auction.”

I love using miles to fly around the world in first class and stay in 5 star hotels for free, but there’s something special about using them for other once in a lifetime experiences.
Marriott may no longer auction off VIP baseball playoff experiences that I loved back in the SPG days, but it’s always worth looking at what they have on offer.
Here are some Marriott Moments that caught my eye:
- Through tomorrow at 10:59am ET you can bid on a 3 night stay from April 28-May 1 at the Malibu Beach Oasis. The 6 bedroom, 10 bathroom private villa normally rents for some $7,000 per night after tax.
- You’ll also get a 3 hour photoshoot from Shayan Asgharnia. Shayan’s work can be seen on the covers of publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Variety, People Magazine, and more. You’ll receive 15 retouched images of photos that you select and a digital drive of the edited images and remaining unedited images (high-res and low-res).
- The photo shoot says it’s available on Saturday, but I reached out to Marriott to see if other dates would be available for Sabbath observers and they said that, “We would make every effort to accommodate the member’s needs.”
- Use 75K points for 2 tickets in a suite to watch the Knicks in MSG. Not a bad chol hamoed outing!
- Use 55K points for 2 tickets to watch the Cubs at Wrigley, and your 7 to 13 year old can take the field with the Cubbies. An unforgeable chol hamoed outing!
- Use 75K points for 2 tickets in a suite to watch the Cubs at Wrigley. Another great chol hamoed outing!
- Bid to play softball at Wrigley. I participated in this package back in the SPG days when we fielded a DDF team and had an awesome time!
- Bid on VIP Miami Grand Prix experiences.
- Bid on Manchester United VIP experiences
- And more!

Knicks used to offer kosher food, if I remember correctly. is that still true? how about the cubs?
They both used to, not sure about currently.
any clue how to find out?
i dont know about the suite but the delta club in msg has free kosher food
I remember once reading somewhere about a guy who got to throw the first pitch by the super bowl, or something like that, and he paid for it with points!
I think you’re confusing this with the NBA. Rihanna is the only person they ever let pitch at the SuperBowl and they made an exception because she was pregnant.
Also if I remember the story correctly the guy paid with affiliate links not points.
Wrigley (Cubs) has kosher food – confirmed. New stand location is top of section 217, right behind home plate.
The Wrigley events are all the second week of April. You think they will add more during the warmer months?
Based on the title, I thought this was going to be a news roundup post. I miss them.
@jj- Did they extend the window for the Malibu Oasis? Is that legal?
They must learn from some other auctions 😉
I did Marriott moments several times last year for the Knicks and they had kosher food if you requested it to the suite. It came fully sealed.
