1. BA.com now shows availability in up to 3 classes of service when you perform an award search! There’s no longer a need to start a new search to get all the info you need and you can now make mixed-class bookings without making one-way awards.
60,000 Avios+$82.70 for a round-trip to Tel Aviv in coach. You can transfer Starpoints to BA at a 20K:25K ratio with the 25% bonus or MR/UR points to BA at a 1:1 ratio:
100,000 Avios+$82.70 for a round-trip to Tel Aviv in business class over the Atlantic:
2. BA.com now asks for the date of birth for all passengers. I reported 4 weeks ago in the Avios Knowledgebase that BA.com was having issues with this and it was causing big problems for people arriving at the airport without a ticket. I still highly recommend checking in online 24 hours before the flight to make sure that you do have an issued ticket.
3. Other nice features include a change flights and a back button after you select a flight so that you can change your selection without having to start the search all over again.

wow! so opening 1 ba card and some spending will get me to israel..?
a little OT after i got the 50,000 avios can i cancel my chase card to get the AF back or will they claw back the points
About darn time, they are so behind! Point to clarify: Even when asked for birthday at booking my tickets didn’t ticket, is the whole issue resolved or they are just at least asking for birthdays?
@yehuda: if you manage to find award availability to Israel
@Anonymous: they don’t claw back the miles but they won’t refund the annual fee
They still are having availability issues. Flights that show on aa.com don’t always show up and I find different browsers, different people’s accounts show different availability. Same thing on the phone, some reps see availaibility, HUCA and it’s gone. And they are asking for two credit cards over the phone for the $2.50 in taxes to verify address.
@yehuda:
Indeed!
And all of the various transferable currencies transfer to BA as well.
@Anonymous:
Air Berlin has excellent availability. And federal law is that you have 60 days from getting charged an annual fee to have it refunded.
@punkis:
Do you have a specific example of a nonstop flight showing on AA.com as a sAAver award that isn’t showing up on BA.com?
can you give a step by step on how to see partner awards on ba.com
I keep only getting BA flights
I cannot find any flights on air berlin. the only stopover option it gives is london
@opinion:
They show up automatically when available.
@#dansdealsfan:
What dates are you searching for?
dates that have saver on aa. i was just testing aug 7 to aug 27
@#dansdealsfan:
Is that from Orlando to the Moon. Or?
12/24 or 12/25 through 12/31 or 1/1
I know it is busy season, but that is when my son puts on tefillin 🙂
Ya! about time they update that terrible site.
sorry, nyc to tel aviv like in the screen shot
@opinion:
You and the rest of the world want to travel those dates.
@#dansdealsfan:
There are flights on the 7th on BA.com on Air Berlin but the return saver flights showing on AA.com are far too complex or have long layovers for BA.com to price out.
You can either call BA to get that booked or you can book each legs separately on BA.com.
even if i do the same days and airports as the screenshot i only get a london stopover option
@#dansdealsfan:
Search for 1 seat.
There’s 1 seat left in coach and 1 seat left in business for that return flight.
On the 26th for example Air Berlin has a flight showing on AA.com but it overnights in DUS.
BA.com won’t show overnight connections so your options are to book TLV-DUS and DUS-JFK on separate tickets on BA.com or call BA to have them stitch those flights together.
what points is the best to use for
Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport
@Dan:
Same problem searching for 1 seat but only ave the option to stopover in londn pls help
Dan,
I tried booking a flight this Thursday night using BA miles(from NY to Cle)at 6:35 it was there and I got distracted when I tried it wasn’t available, anything to do, and do they sometimes become avaialble again.
Thanks
@jake:

Can you book Alaska Airlines flights online now?
@Dan:
Thats x what i meant.
Can u please give us a sample date which works with stopover in DUS on ba.com other then London
Any advice trying to go to Miami or ft lauderdale from NYC or Philly and i cannot locate a return flight from MIA or fll.
Looking to return 8/18 nothing doing any magic!!!
@dan man: I don’t know if this is your problem, but: when BA asks if you’ll take a stoop over, just ci=lick to London and they’ll then give you any stopover they feel like giving you – not just London.
anyone else having more problems with the website today? A few times I got a message that I couldn’t book a flight even though it showed availability. Other times, it would only allow me to click on first class even though it was also showing economy seats. I had these issues in chrome and firefox. And now when I have to call to book a flight they want two credit cards as proof of address?
question for Dan or anyone else out there. Can anyone comment on what airlines pay each other for seats? When you book an AA seat last minute that they’re charging $500 for with 4500 BA points, how much does BA pay to AA? Or do they have some kind of bank or system where they keep score and settle once a year? Or when you pay one airline and fly another’s metal? Or when your flight gets cancelled and they rebook you on another airline? Any insight on this would be interesting.
BA is still not asking for DOB all the time – just had 2 instances where it didn’t yesterday and had to call BA to have them manually ticketed.
hey dan, do u know when the BA promo will end bc I would like to apply for 2 CC but the southwest seemed to no be valid anymore.
When transferring to BA Avios is it more beneficial to transfer
Starpoints or UR
It seems like BA.com still has issues. I booked a flight for my brother, the flight was confirmed but AA wouldnt let him on the plane because they said that the avios never transferred from BA. When i called up BA they let me know that i wasn’t the first to have that issue.
Dan,
Thanks for the help I lisned to you and kept trying, I finally got the Friday afternoon flight to Cleveland, on the way to the airport today, they cancelled the flight. I couldn’t make it to Cleveland for shabbos,
