This may be slightly complicated to figure out and get to work for your preferred cities and dates..but it’s still a very sweet deal!
If you book a United flight to Europe with at least 1 domestic segment on USAirways, then Priceline will take off up to $210 of the price on the payment page!
This is not for the “name your own price” bidding, this is just for the regular priceline booking site.
Here are a couple examples of how to get the deal with valid dates:
Example A:
1. Go to Priceline and select “multi-destination.”
2. For flight 1 use PHL (Philadelphia) to ORD (Chicago O’ Hare) on 02/21. (This should force a USAirways domestic flight)
For flight 2 use ORD to AMS (Amsterdam) on 02/21.
For flight 3 use AMS to PHL on 02/26.
Choose the flight with USAirways for flight 1 and then United for flights 2 and 3. The price should be $481.
On the next page the following pops up:
“Good news! We were able to find an even lower price for this itinerary. The new price is shown below.”
The new price is just $271. That’s the final round-trip price including all international taxes, and $210 cheaper than you can find on any other site!
Example B:
1. Go to Priceline and select “multi-destination.”
2. For flight 1 use CLT (Charlotte) to ORD (Chicago O’ Hare) on 02/28. (This should force a USAirways domestic flight)
For flight 2 use ORD to FRA (Frankfurt) on 02/28.
For flight 3 use FRA to CLT on 03/04.
Choose the flight with USAirways for flight 1 and then United for flights 2 and 3. The price should be $416.
On the next page the following pops up:
“Good news! We were able to find an even lower price for this itinerary. The new price is shown below.”
The new price is just $246. That’s the final round-trip price including all international taxes, and $170 cheaper than you can find on any other site!
Hint: It may help to start in a USAirways hub and connect via a United hub.

Is this only valid for a certain amount of time, or is this a lasting ‘glitch’?
United is not an option. And how do I change each flight to a different airline? It doesn’t let me. š
Can you get to Israel cheap this way?
Is there a way to get to Australia using this “price mistake”?
